Swansea City Association Football Club is a Welsh professional football club based in the city of Swansea, South Wales.
Formed in 1912, the club joined the Football League in 1921, and currently plays at the Swansea.com Stadium.
The Swans won the League Cup in 2013, and have secured 11 promotions across the course of their history.
Additionally, the club are two-time EFL Trophy winners, two-time FAW Premier Cup winners, and 10-time Welsh Cup champions, qualifying for European competition on eight occasions. - Sport
I would have liked to see Grimes there as he is the captain and should be speaking on behalf of the players as well.
Too much negativity in the questions from the fans, almost embarrassing. Since January there has been a lot of positivity. Were trying to get back to our feet after some years of wrong decisions. The fans talk like its an easy job, far from it. We all wish we were still in the Premier league or in a stronger position but we are where we are and thats still a strong Championship side. Thank you to everyone at the club who are trying to get the Swans back on track.
well chalk and cheese that
first half mainly just insults thinly veiled as questions, after interval actually learned a few interesting things about where we stand. Excited overall for where Luke can take us, seems v knowledgable and sincere.
Paul comes across as bit of a nerdy football analytics type without huge media savvy, not quite the bad guy i was expecting. If theyre being honest about the summer situation he walked into, with no recruitment dept and huge gaps in the squad, then think we could calm down a little bit about him
For all the complaints that the questions were too brutal, a lot of them needed to be asked, and let's not forget this is an accumulation of years of mismanagement by the US regime. It's no wonder that this came across in the way some questions were asked.
I do think Andy and Paul should take some credit for putting themselves out there in a forum like this. I still have concerns regarding competence, but for now, the intent seems positive, and I liked a lot of what they both said. They have both shown a lot more effort and desire than Jason and Steve, who quite frankly have had appalling visibility and fan engagement.
Let's get behind the team, stay up this season, and give Andy, Paul and everyone involved the opportunity to demonstrate some positive outcomes for the club over the next year.
Also, Luke Williams is 100% the right manager for this club. How he wants us to play and how he speaks, great guy.
WXM fan here...I have an interest in this Welsh Club, and an interest in Luke Williams as a gaffer.
This meeting was incredibly honest, and the Chairman was refreshingly, and brutally honest.
No matter how frustrating the past has been, I do believe in what they are saying, and fans should give them this shot that they are asking for! 🏴🇦🇷🇺🇸
I get why people dont like Watson but he faces the media, I dont think everythings been negative and hes made some good decisons some not as good but two managers in one season things have progressed and im sure he is doing fine he seems dedicated and im sure he will prove himself, forget about the Jones thing.
Coleman- He constantly says he is the face he wants a connection, he cant help but have his accent, I get the thing about him saying he lives in Swansea but he is clearly dedicated its not just his words but his actions, he lives up to all his words and he constantyly embraces the fans, which being American and part of the ownership would be not easy, I like him, these arent just words he does clearly care. ignore the other owners for now, we all know we dont like them, Hes not them, he constantly voices his opinions and supports his staff and is trying, he wants us to do well, hes done more then the other owners in his short time then they ever have and he is clearly able to be that voice and take all responsibility, because he wants to what we want.
We all like what Luke brings he is a great manager and we should always back him hes a genius.
I urge any fan who takes time to read this to get behind all of these guys, we are a demanding fanbase because we love our team and we love our culture and our way. these guys want us to do that and they all have shown signs that they are aiming towards that and believe in each others abilities, they will push each other just get behind them and try not to give grief thats not needed.
Things will take time we know this.
Loads of respect for Coleman for handling criticism and name-calling like that. I bet he's not most Welsh peoples' cup of tea (I'm Danish and we tend to keep loud Americans at arm's length) but boldness aside I don't distrust him one bit. Let's put all those "Yanks out" sentiments to rest for a season and see where that takes us?
It'll take us into relegation
I totally get the lack of trust after years of mismanagement, but on face value Coleman is trying to open lines of communication and he's made himself accountable. Some of the changes they've implemented seem like a step in the right direction and should improve things significantly in the medium/long term. The flak for Watson was over the top though, he appeared to show a reasonable level of competence. Let him prove himself over the summer. Ultimately, they will be judged over time...COYS
At times, it is hard to watch, but finally getting to the hard hitting questions
Fair play to you for putting up the entire event. A lot of questions that needed to be answered.
Have to say I’m disappointed with the supporters who felt it necessary to go over the line as if asking why someone hasn’t been sacked isn’t enough.
Also can we stop with the bloody gate keeping of our fanbase? Coleman’s made a lot of mistakes but I do not believe for a moment that he’s lying about his love of the club.
Otherwise, glad that Andy and Paul have a full understanding of how far they have to go to earn our trust. Delighted that Luke knows how much we are behind his efforts.
Up the Swans.
You should be more disappointed with the treatment of the fans since they’ve been here in 2016, than supporters finally asking the much needed hard questions.
Agree on Coleman, he seems like a pretty genuine guy.
On the fans - I know being 'direct' feels opportune at forums like this, but challenging as to why someone hasn't been sacked is such an amateur means of raising conerns. No-one is answering that question, and serves as a good reason as to why other clubs don't provide these sorts of things. The same with 'why isn't the Ukrainian playing?'. I'd like to see Kukha more, but at least word it in a slighrtly less confrontational way
@JD-uu3xm Yeah, I agree, especially the wording of some questions, which is just disrespectful we want the club to open and transparent which they are trying but if people don't start actually thinking about the questions they are asking the club will soon U turn
@@HazEvansYJB I'm just as upset as everyone else, my guy. I was here well before the Premier League and I'll stay if we end up in the National League someday.
Doesn't excuse individuals from being no better than an average thug. We're Swansea. We're better than that.
@@TheKirkyLifeGaming I really didn’t see any thuggish behaviour or questions at the forum though? Yes uncomfortable at times, but uncomfortable questions were needed to be asked.
Bloke talking at 45:45 is proper handsome
This was brutal at times. Would've loved to have seen this at every club since way back. Would've been great to have seen Fergie doing this. I doubt he makes it to the end lol.
OMG! This is gonna be brutal...
Luke williams is adore him a great manager Come on luke we can do it on Saturday Boys🦢🦢❤️❤️
Is that Fury’s brother
The guy with the Captain America reference should be ashamed of himself. The fact is he’s got no idea what people are doing behind the scenes.
What's the issue with Nathan Jones?
Ouch it got a bit tasty there at times , hardly suprising though . Some of our younger fans 🤭, asking questions . Jeez ive being watching the club since the late 70s and seen it all. The club need to be enticing the younger generation of fans to fill the stadium , and this thing with Watson sitting next to Nathan Jones !. Christ they were sitting next to each other not having it off .
Sign of the times people being offended by someone sitting next to another person. Quite sad really
@@davidrjohnson12 Agree with you , and as he stated . It was the club that gave them seats together . They had no choice lol .
It’s hard being a young supporter in this fan base with people like you making us feel not welcome, and as if our opinions don’t matter because we weren’t alive to watch us for 40 or so years. Yet you want the club to fill the stadium with us youngsters.
Bring back Doug sharp
If these yanks sell up we be Higher for sure
No we will be bankrupt. It almost happened TWICE before.
How?
Be careful what you wish for is all. Some of the people interested in buying clubs at our level are vultures with no intention of making a sustainable club.
The fans Alliance are totally useless. Disrespectful to thend.
Where was the Trust?
Here we go. Been waiting for this. Get Watson out
Don't understand the Watson hate, as he said there was no structure last year, summer was always going to me a mess. I think Jan window was much better.
stop scapegoating it happens to them all you scapegoat them and blame then when they soon leave and the problem persists you say they wasn't given chance
@@josephreed1190 Same dude I don't understand it. I'd argue that tymon, key, patino, pederson, ashby, ginelly are all improvements to the squad, which is a significant amount of the incoming players (granted a few are loans). Watson can't help if some of those were injured, and I'm fairly certain there are *far* worse people that could have been appointed.
“Fan favourite Liam Cullen”😂😂 please get rid
Get the owners out. They ran us into the ground... 👎
No true. I saw 1982 that was run into the ground under Welsh ownership.
Paul Watson didn't have much to say had his boss to talk for him joke
Yanks out
They pay the bills.
@@johnjames4681 yeah no sh1t, they also have no clue how to run a club, recruit players or managers.
@@fractalofgod6324 They have a combined 18 years of experience DC and Swansea. They are trying to right the ship. I back them. Potter Cooper Martin have all been poached Paying Swansea big compo. TBA Martin.
@@johnjames4681 yeah go ask the DC fans what they think, they hate them more than us. Obviously you are a fan of them but many swans fans hate them and rightly so.
@@johnjames468118 years of experience yet they leave the club to Andy with NO recruitment system and not a single scout. How can you defend Levien, Kaplan and Silverstein.
Comedy Captain America and Kennilworth Road Tour Guide is a bit over the top.
It’s absolutely spot on.
@@HazEvansYJB Pretty worthless at a Fans Forum though, not going to gain anything at all by just calling the higher-ups names like
The fans questions were embarrassing at times.
We want our club back the yanks are destroying Swansea city jack army and proud
I feel sick at this comment. The club is 10% fan owned . They are the only owner not investing a bean in 20 years or more.
our pink kit is shite
It is a charity shirt for a cancer cause. Part of the money goes to the charity.
Paul out
