    Dude, that's crazy. Your aim on a pen looks like a super hard aim bot(or ai aim bot looks similar as well). I bought myself a one and I hope I don't get banned.

    Just sounds like someone needs to take the leap to [re-]design it properly for the use case. Which at this point would likely be a passion project as proof of concept type beat. Hopefully someone comes along and does it, as the potential definitely sounds like it's there!
    I also do wonder how it would be for beginners starting from scratch, as in both your cases you're still building atop the transferable parts of of your aiming skill that you've built up before. So I'm curious how people starting from 0 prior gaming/aiming experience would be/take to it...

      Yeah would be interesting, I might actually get my partner to play some kovaaks on a mouse then on a pen and see the differences, she does game so is familiar with a mouse but she can't aim at all, she's a wow player lol

      @@NineLives9 Ooh, that defo sounds like it could be fun to try out and see how it goes! 😂
      And yeh if she's familiar with a mouse, but can't aim, sounds like you'd still be getting a good point of reference for if the pen is more intuitive/easier

    Glad i found another person who plays with pen! But jokes aside, this playstyle has potential. Kariyu proved its doable, now we need more people to try it out. I personally tried it for fun, then i permanently switched. My aim got a lot better with it but yeah turning around is a nightmare. I personally use raw accel to counter this, but i feel like i should lower my sens and buy a bigger tablet ngl.

    • @NineLives9
      @NineLives9  Před 4 měsíci

      Me and my mate were actually talking about using raw Accel to counter that issue too, but haven't tried it yet. Yeah pen is fun though for sure, I was recently attempting to get a top score on kovaaks with the pen, I got #130ish on a target switch task, I'll get atleast top 100 and make a little vid about it, I think the pen is genuinely better for certain scenarios

    • @wandering_bonzi4528
      @wandering_bonzi4528 Před 4 měsíci

      Tbh I think raw accel makes tablet a lot more usable, you get the high precision of a low sens while being able to turn around quickly. I think the biggest cons of tablet are definitely the limited size, polling rate and mouse buttons. Price is also a big issue tbh. (You paid $500 for your tablet which is just too much, and you actually could've gotten one of those larger wacom pro tablets for the same price) It would be really interesting to see a "gaming drawing tablet" which has these issues fixed in some way. I'll make sure to check out the vid once it comes out, as you said pen is good for tracking, but I feel like it can be good for everything with enough practice.

    Ive always wanted to adapt this but I'm left handed- tried css surf and apex and couldn't do it 😥

      Oof literally looked up this vid bc I wanted to try it but forgot I was left handed too. Could never switch my movement to my right hand and could never hold a pen with my right.

  • @Titanmster21
    @Titanmster21 Před 2 měsíci

    Ive been playing like this for like 9+ months now (Gaomon s620) and I godda say I love the precision you can get, but yeah, turning around can take some getting used to. I also use tab to aim in, and depending on the game I'm playing, I use toggle aim (only on games where you need to aim in for longer periods of time; otherwise, I use the normal way), but I've also struggled to get it to work with games like Valorant because of their anti-cheats (it's the only one I've found so far, but I'm sure there are more). I really hope this becomes more of a standard so I can say I did it before it was popular lol. (In all seriousness I think this playstyle has some real potential we just need somone to go pro with it or something and really show people what it can do).

    One thing I haven't heard any pen/tablet CZcamsr talk about is gamepads. I use a Razer Tartarus v2 sometimes instead of a keyboard for gaming and it has a scroll wheel built in. I think this would go really well with pen gaming cuz you can now scroll with the left hand or have a joystick and bind wasd to other functions and it's only like $50.

      Yeah true, I'll actually have a look at that. Could be quite good, cheers

      Gamepad is pretty neat, you can essentially map all of your movement to the left thumb, and the rest of your fingers have access to whatever hot keys you like

    ye dude i had the same experience when playing osu! years ago. its so fuckin op for aiming esp on a 2d plane but its rough having no mouse buttons and needing to swap to both mouse-like cursor movement and higher sens def hurts tablet a bit
    there are actually top mouse osu! players too though so i wouldnt be surprised if theyre relatively close to equal
    id bet theres an advantage in certain situations though

    • @NineLives9
      @NineLives9  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Yeah I've never even played OSU or used a tablet at all and I can already feel how good it can be for certain things when aiming, it's also just really fun and smooth to play with, I enjoy it quite a bit

    • @NineLives9
      @NineLives9  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Yeah I had wondered what that would be like,I think would be very strange cause hand would block your vision most the time when aiming

    • @innominatebeing
      @innominatebeing Před 5 měsíci

      Yea that'd be a big drawback. but your eyes would always be on your cursor to help with aiming more i think. Maybe with some games it could work, probably not warzone or anything like that.@@NineLives9

    it's insane to me that you somehow managed to spend 500 bucks on a medium sized drawing tablet, not even a cintique (monitor u can draw on), i remember my first drawing tablet for digital art was also a wacom and it was rather small but it was only 80 euros and not too much smaller than yours. i'd have imagined the prices would've only gone down but oh well. a gaming version would obviously be a lot cheaper as it wouldn't need any preassure sensitivity or hotkey buttons.

    • @NineLives9
      @NineLives9  Před 5 měsíci +2

      certainly not cheap, yeah a gaming version could definitely just be simpler and bigger as long as it has good response thats all that really matters

    • @Cqat1
      @Cqat1 Před 5 měsíci

      @@NineLives9 i'm still baffled at how much that small tablet was tho. i now have two cintiques, both much larger than your normal tablet and they were cheaper as well. so i essentially got a larger tablet, where i can actually draw onto the monitor with more hotkeys and for less money...
