I'm one of those idiots that has money to pay off debt but still takes her sweet lil time to pay it off. HOWEVER, every single time I listen to a Dave Ramsey rant that fires me up I pay off a whole loan..BAM. Less than 8K to go & started off w/ over 30K less than 4 months ago.

I inherited enough money to live on for the rest of my life as long as I'm careful with it. I'm glad I got that money when I was 45 because if I'd inherited it when I was in my 20's it would have been gone in 10 years.

I'm intentional about changing my financial ways and about learning about Jesus.
I started listening Dave 5 months ago because a credit union repossessed my car and then sue me for the remaining balance. The court hold my account. So I went to see their attorney. And she told me you have a good income but a lot of debt have you heard about Dave Ramsey. Then she gave me a lot of information about him even where to take the class close to my house. Thanks to that I have two jobs and I starting paying my debts. I'm learning from my mistakes thanks credit union for repossessed my car.

I hardly ever make mistakes once or twice . I make them At least 5-6 times just to make sure I learned from them 😅

Parents with small children understand the value of driving around without a destination. Great way to get them to fall asleep!
We still do afternoon drives. Especially my mom. She takes my girls on drives all of the time, just to be in the car....just to be in motion...on a pretty day. Love it!

I get the analogy, but I think sometimes just driving around for fun is very therapeutic...sometimes having an unknown destination is worthwhile (not for money) but maybe travel.

Unfortunately, I was stupid throughout my 20's and into my early 30's. I'm now 39 and feel so far behind. We are maxing out retirement and we have 11 years left on a 15 year mortgage (plus we are consumer/student loan debt free). But had I known about Dave in college, I'd be a millionaire by now, easily.

Better to be stupid in your 20s and 30s than stupid at 50. If you have no debt, you are well ahead of the game. Keep doing what you’re doing and you’ll be fine.

When I was a teen my dad bought a Peugeot used diesel. Couldn't figure out why anyone would do that. He also special ordered a diesel ford escort in early 80's (so he paid his share of atupid tax) was actually a great car.

Bout a new 2017 Mustang GT back in 2017 ... sold it late 2018 and was able to get out of the loan (upside down) by getting a personal to pay off the negative equity. Also paying down my $8k of student loans. Yea ... I learned my lesson. Thanks Dave 💪🏽🔥

They still make Peugeot's but they do not sell them in the USA, mainly in Europe.
People used to go for drives because there literally wasn't anything else to do and gas cost a dime per gallon.

Help!! So I want to have an auto dealer pay for my car worth and get a 5k car. That way I’m not stuck with a car loan of 26k. I have other debts such as a student loan of 5k that I want to pay off and 2 credit cards. My husband thinks I’m insane for doing this, and is not on board! I think this is a smart decision. Any thoughts??

Not insane it is very smart. What's your husband want more debt..sounds brainwashed by others in debt. Avoid debt it really is liberating not having to owe money...you can invest more and grow wealth.
