I used to wonder why this didn't get a US Release..
Then I realized it was released in 1998! Holy shit!
1. It looks like an Early SNES title
2. The N64 was WELL established by the time this game out.. hell Ocarina of Time and Banjo Kazooie were out
Granted, this was released before both of those games did, having first released in January, and on an unrelated side, the SNES's Japanese game support lasted until 2000.
WC98 perhaps coulda had the chance if it released before Kirby's Dream Land 3, but time is time, and as of, there isn't really anything that can be done to change what's already surpassed.
Plus this game kinda sucks. Original NES wrecking crew was actually more fun
Oh hey it's coming.
The one when you "fight" the little girl is so cute and heartwarming. The fact that Mario is willingly plays with her is cute, especially that he does a different animation than with the others.
i like that has well mario never hits girls or women unless it's super smash bros.
Is it me or does she really look like a Hakurei Reimu and Maruko chan hybrid?
U are cringy
Its unsettling cuz shes dead
Fun Fact: There is a new character in Wario Ware Gold, named Lulu, whose design is based off of that girl.
Mario is a beast from just reading the intro. I knew these games were all connected somehow.
11:24 the rice boss is so randooommmm lmaoooo
OMG THIS IS FREAKING AWESOME, A TRANSLATION FOR ONE OF MY FAVORITE GAMES!!!
It was recently revealed via interview during episode 476 of "Bertcast" that actor and comedian Sebastian Maniscalco will be playing a role in the Super Mario Bros. animated movie, specifically "Spike" who he describes as "their [the brothers] boss". Some people will probably immediately think of the little green enemies, but given the context of this description and the history of Mario, it sounds like he's going to play Foreman Spike from Wrecking Crew.
That's... a surprisingly deep cut for the Mario movie to make, considering how obscure Wrecking Crew is nowadays. Hopefully this means Foreman Spike will be in more things. (and that he'll have a beard and doesn't look like he did in Wrecking Crew '98, which is basically just a buff Waluigi... Not that I'm ragging on this game, it's pretty sweet, I just really dislike Foreman Spike's design in it)
The mario movie was great!
@@Kuronoa55 That it was, and Sebastian Maniscalco was fantastic as Spike! Hopefully he shows up in more movies!
Gotta say, Foreman Spike is a lot more friendly than I had assumed. Like, years ago I found out about the original Wrecking Crew game, and assumed he was just a nasty dude like Wario and Waluigi. But I guess he's really more of a hot-blooded goon.
Wonder what he'll be like in the movie?
In the Movie, he's more like his appearance in the original game. Being Mario's Rival again, rather than someone that hits it off with Mario every so often.
Wow, so colorful!
I know this looks good because it's from '98 but I wish more games looked THIS colorful.
It literally looks like a cartoon!
Imagine Mario & Luigi SuperStar Saga with these graphics!
It even looks similar to Dr. Mario 64 and if it wasn't for the title screen making it kinda obvious, I would've mistaken it for a N64 game!!!
2:04 Then what about noon? Or near sunset? They’d get plenty of sunlight then.
I guess the buildings were also fogging up the place?
@@dabluepittoo-aqua4213 by Mario's view, those bases are making it seem like midnight! This raises the question then, How Big are those buildings? If they make it seem like nighttime, and what was Bowser using them for? Nuclear missile testing? Communism?
Maybe the buildings were so tall that they would've blocked the Sun or something. 🤣🤣
3:50 "You won't get in my way this time!"
> He gets in his way this time.
34:07 I'm glad I'm not the only person who does this
17:42 this is straight up wholesome and I love it.
14:05 i feel sorry for the guy hes so sad! :(
Freaking finally.
Mario has such a dumpy on the continue screen at 23:33.
The only thing missing in the translated version is the _Safety First_ sign commissioned by Bowser.
33:51: Game Over
Rice Ball for Smash.
The question is though: did you get the golden hammer
That little girl on Secret Hideout B isn’t evil at all. She just wanted to play with someone after she died and became a ghost 👻
🤦♂️Bowser clearly doesn't know that "Secret bases" are supposed to hidden in plain sight, not out in the open.
Nah, his workers be TELLING TOO MANY TRUTHS! Mario does in fact see them(map) and can not go to them if there is no route to them. It's like secret paths in SMW or the other paths in overworld maps.(Sure, we know it there but unless we found the key or door to access it it is secret in plain sight one of the the most funny yet effective skills a evil person can do to a do gooder. We the players can see there something there but Mario and in an extension us do not know the route it takes to get to it untill we find it.
download?
Maybe the site I found mine was crap or I got a bad download but I can’t get mine to work so im watching this so I can just keep playing the Japanese one
George molina be careful...
Ooof that's some pretty rough dialog. Definitely feels like it could use some work
Sooo.... they have a dead kid....
It's worse
The Human Character's names are listed as
"Little Girl"
and
"Father"
(though the English Translation gave them Romanized Versions of the Japanese terms for those)
When we see Father he's upset, drinking, and says this "Isn't what he wanted to build" and how it "Feels cold"
The dead girl is his daughter, and he's upset that because he can feel her spirit haunting the buildings.. making it feel "Cold" to him...
The man said the building is "Not what he wanted to build", and is downing his sorrows in alcohol...
Bowser killed this man's daughter to get him to build "Secret Bases"
That's fucked up
@@1Hol1Tiger Nothing something Bowser would normally do in a family friendly Nintendo game. :/
@@1Hol1Tigerbruh is this Mario or FNAF wtf
Seriously, why didn’t they used this version for its Nintendo Switch Online international release?! 😖
Is this a SNES game
Super Famicom
@@BigBrawler The Japanese version of the SNES

This game is not easy.
Xretff did you say you have a good day and a good morning and a wonderful evening and a beautiful morning
