@@Ck69420 I love Ovi. He's been an absolute treat to watch, his longevity is fabulous and I loved how he would paste someone along the boards and turn around to fire a slapper to score. But even he hasn't done this. He hasn't scored 60 twice in his career, his high was 65. With that said it's really hard to continuously put up the numbers he has while playing the physical game he's played and nobody has done it like him. Fantastic player.

This!! I grew up close to Toronto so was basically born a Leaf fan yet growing up I admired players like Yzerman, Jagr, Lemieux, Kariya, Shanna, Steven’s, Fedorov, Selanne, Chara etc. and the list goes on even to todays players. Favourite players throughout different teams- yet I cheer for my hometown team because well.. it’s what feels natural and what I grew up a fan doing routing for Clarke/ Gilmour, Domi, Tucker, Sundin.. It’s fun to clown in other teams every now and then but you’d think some people make a living and spend their whole lives despising rival teams and wasting so much negative energy on it lol it’s weird and depressing really 😂 I just love the sport though.
If you love the game and especially if you have played it at any level, you can appreciate great players ability’s, records etc.
It’s amazing and we are lucky to witness it…Ov trying to break the record mcdavid tearing it up as usual kicherov single handedly lifting tampa, matthews scoring like no one has in a decade.
I only appreciate players/teams who can win in the PLAYOFFS. The Leafs aren't one of those teams.
