London and Paris are the 2 cities producing most of the world class players of the next generation. South London in particular is producing many top players like Sterling, Zaha, Sancho, Nelson, Hudson-Odoye, Lookman, Joe Gomez, Nathaniel Chalobah, Emile Smith, Jordan Panzo, Tammy Abraham, Loftus-Cheek and Ryan Sessegon. The reason why is South London is one of the most diverse parts of London so playing football as kid there is like playing in a world cup.

I would assume the reason many good players come from environments like that is that there's no ref there's no protection in a way from you playing against older stronger and faster people so young children are forced to adapt to be able to play well in those conditions

Messi at his age was carrying teams on his own let alone being an assist king, it's a bit of a stretch comparing him that far but Sancho is definitely one of the best under 20s right now in the world.
No he wasn't. I would know precisely because I was a bigger Messi fan than anyone else at that time. Messi was 19 during the 2006/07 season, and an Ronaldinho was still by far the alpha-dog even though people thought he was on the decline.
Barcelona finished with 76 points in the league and won no trophies that season, and all people were talking about was CR7 as the next big thing.
I remember feeling like an underdog thinking Messi would become the best.

He's changed everything now. Before Sancho, nobody left the PL for foreign leagues. especially a team like City. Now everyone seems to want to do it. Lyon have Reo Griffiths. Chris Willock is at Benfica. Schalke have Motando, Leipzeg have Lookman and Ampadu. and the number is probably only going to go up.

This is how English footballers lose talent so fast just because of the over praise by the media. The media often compare them to very talented footballers which makes them really struggle to reach the level of a particular player that he is compared too. The same media after the player fail to reach the required level they begin pulling him down by writing and talking negatively about the player.
