Capcom side need big character. Why do not just copypast Nemesis from 3 and put Wesker and Vergil in second DLC pack?
especially since Wesker is more associated w/ Chris than most other RE characters (with the exception of Jill)
Douglas is an expensive voice actor, Nemesis however just needs a few grunts.

the amount of labbing it would of taken to squeeze out every normal and special you can but not too much to have them fall out from hit stun scaling is really respectable especially figuring out the timing for drone assist so that they all hit.

@@kuuga3104 nah. Decent at best but not really good compared to other stronger characters. There's a reason you didn't see Wesker in a lot of high level gameplay.

@@SonOfRebirth812 scamby had a more exciting style for sure, but unknown was another level of wesker. his MOVEMENT was so fast and precise. in his prime, he could convert off of almost any stray hit, even in the air. Unknown's was the cleanest crispest wesker in the business.
scamby made up for it with his random high risk play style and unfamiliar team, but unknown's wesker in terms of mechanical ability and execution was the best in the business by far. I wish umvc3 could make a comeback to get unknown and other big names back in it, but that just doesn't seem to be how the world works.

I feel that since EVO 2017 is ended, likely the last year for Marvel 3, FGC highlights is doing a kind of legacy best-of by doing different characters. Even though a few are coming back, there are so many characters in this that won't be coming back to MvCi. (unless hopefully DLC will be more than that leaker said with time) I feel like all these characters are leaving the party one by one, and the further the night goes on, the closest friends stay the longest, like Doom, Magneto, Vergil, but even they must eventually say their goodbyes.

I was expecting to see Unknown vs GreenAce at TFC 2015 or maybe some of WhiteBlack
I suck so bad at this game but I don’t care. I still love playing it.
And tbf, when I say I suck, it’s all relative. I suck compared to people that compete, but I’m good enough to get multiple wins online every session I played back in the day.
This was the fighting game that made me understand how actually play them properly. All because the roster was great, each character felt unique and varied but it also did something very rare in fighting games - it made 90% of the characters actually fun to use.
I went through a few different set-ups during my time with it, initially settling on Dante/Ghost Rider/Strider. Eventually swapped out Ghost Rider for Spider-Man/Wolverine but didn’t feel settled.
Meanwhile alongside playing this, I completed Resident Evil 5 with my mate three times back to back - Normal, Veteran then Professional (never again. difficulty artificially increased by giving the AI tonnes of health, starving the players of ammo and dying in one or two hits. it literally boils down to the same formula every time: shoot enemy leg - command prompt attack - knife on the floor - circle around and repeat).
Anyway. After playing so much RE5, I decided to give the Resi characters a go and knew straight away that Wesker would become a main. He’s fast, strong, can close distance easily and his pistol attacks seemed like they were supposed to be used in the exact same way I’ve used projectiles in all fighting games - as a disrupting tool that forces your opponent to approach you.
Jill and Chris were alright but not good enough to main. Nemesis baffled me. Felt like his design was the total opposite of the whole game’s core philosophy of team synergy, mobility and counters.
My final team that I ended up using most was Wesker/Virgil/Strider, with Strider occasionally being swapped out for Doom.
Really hoping this franchise returns to form. The only similar game that’s come close to this is FighterZ, which tbf is a great game too

Too many times I hear these bummy commentators say something like “oh, they did not intend for that to happen” when very clearly the player intended for that interaction to happen. Extremely unprofessional, very lame. You ain’t analytical.

Sentinel being a mediocre character makes up for it with one of the best assists in the whole damn game.
