Isle of Mull | OVERRATED?

- Is the Isle of Mull overrated? That is the main question we pose in today's video. The Isle of Mull is very highly rated among people we know. However it's not an island we have had the chance to properly explore and this is why we wanted to make this video.
We gave ourselves only five hours to explore the Isle of Mull which was definitely not long enough but we had enough time to give you our first impressions. We first visit the islands capital of Tobermory before heading to find the popular beach of Calgary bay. We then take the scenic route around the northern part of Mull back to catch our ferry back to the Ardnamurchan.
We finish our vlog back at our home on wheels where we test our new DJI drone and make some vegan mac n' cheese.

Looks great, brilliant video. Was thinking to go in August with my young family but worries about midges, when did you go and was it a problem?
Hey, thank you so much for your comment! We went there in August and had no midges during the day. They are the worst in the morning and when the sun goes down :) Last May and June was very bad so t should be better in August! Have a wonderful time.

Even though we live so close to Mull it's still a place we haven't explored enough. That is one of our goals for this year :)

If you did some research guys ( even watch some other you tube videos before tou went) you would know Mull is the 2nd biggest of the Inner Hebrides and there is a huge amount to do. If you want an empty beach there are plenty..but you need to be there longer to find them..plus go out of season. Also there are 3 ways onto Mull..the 3rd is Lochaline to Fishnish. It is a hiking and wildlife paradise. Take the time to explore and make a more informed video next time.

I cant believe you went there to judge the place within 5hrs, and spent it eating ice cream , visiting a cheese place , and one beach, seems to be more about you two since we hardly saw anything at all apart from that.
