- The Gamesir G7 SE is currently my favourite Xbox controller. This controller features hall effect joysticks to combat the dreaded joystick drift problems that have plagued Xbox gamers in the past. You can also quickly remove the faceplate, which makes cleaning a breeze. I have to say the only downfall of this controller is that it lacks the wireless feature, but luckily I play wired most of the time anyway so this doesn't affect me.

The BEST feature by far of this controller is the blue little platic ring around the analoge stick. It absorbes the shock of a stick hitting the edge and muffles the sound greatly. The standard Xbox controller sounds like tapping hard on hollow plastic each time you turn the sticks.
I’d miss the nostalgia of hearing **tick tick** from playing Minecraft as a kid ngl
not only that, but it also greatly reduces friction
The sound is part of the aesthetic, without it you lack elegance.
I thought the best thing was the magnetic potentiometers. But that's just me.
I actually enjoy that sound and feeling, I find them quite satisfying.
"And I still don't know why XBOX doesn't use em"
"we don't have to worry about stick drift anymore with em"
You just answered yourself. You know why, we know why😂
No, we don’t worry about stick drift anymore with the hall effect sticks XBOX doesn’t use
@@TheMamaluigi300he’s implying that Xbox doesn’t use them because of stick drift. Using those would mean that their controllers would last longer and less people would have to go and buy a new one, in turn earning them less money
microsoft want to keep us buying there shitty controllers
its because Hall effect sensors are not as perfect or reliable as people think they are.
Its because xbox doesnt like innovating their controllers. Thats why it also lacks features such as haptic feedback and gyro, both of which being things the other 2 consoles do have

Stick drift is such a terrible thing, it sucks that so many controllers have that issue. The companies don't build things to last as long though. That's just how it works. Also love you're videos mate! Keep up the good work!

If only it came in a sweet color.
I literally don't care about the color, I'd buy it instantly.
Hall effect needs to become standard on all controllers
It won't be for a while, planned obsolescence.
@@bekirbd yep, definitely planned obsolescence,so you have to buy a new one when they inevitably start having issues
Which pisses me off, things really aren't built to last, lightbulbs for example, there's a lightbulb thats been going strong since 1901,but of course, lightbulbs never last that long anymore, because planned obsolescence became standard to actually get sales
Not anytime soon. That's how they get you to buy a new control 😔
GuliKit has Hall effect replacement sticks for the Steam Deck, it’s possible once they become popular enough they could start doing Hall effect replacement sticks for DualShock 4, DualSense, Xbox One, Series X, and Pro Controllers. They’ve already done charging docks and stuff for all those controllers so probably not out of the realm of possibility

Honestly, I can see more people preferring wired controllers over wireless ones these days. Less input lag and not constantly buying batteries are very big pros
Yes. But, if your couch is 10 plus feet away from your console, what are you going to do?
@@JeffTiberend get a 12 foot cord
this is an old thread but wireless controllers are no slower than wired, maybe at most a fraction of a millisecond it’s already been proven
I purchased one of these controllers a month ago. I love the features and how it feels while gaming. Glad I found this video because I didn't know you could change the face plate. :)
Waiting for them to release a wireless version
It’s never going to happen 😂
Only official Xbox controllers are allowed to use Microsofts wireless tech. All 3rd party controllers are wired

If you play on pc you have plenty of options

The end of the stick drift? That is a great deal Mick!
No not at all...the biggest cause of drift Is actually the springs loosening, and funny enough hall effect moduals still use springs...so the only thing that prevents its drift cuz of dust, but If the springs are not good"and they aren't btw"your screwed😅
@@tempestzz5682 wow, unbelievable! I remember using thumb sticks on the N64, and I think the Atari jaguar. Maybe it was a different system, I can’t remember. But those controllers never went bad. They always worked, even decades later.
Yeah, Mike said something about dust in one of his videos. But he also mentioned something else. My memories just not that good. They can make controllers that don’t get stick drift. They just don’t because they make too much money on them, obviously.
@@joebiggs4387 a perfect analogy would be the light bolbe, they made the perfect one in the 60's i bealive, but since they never failed the Companies weren't making any money...so they made a special meeting were they all agreed to go back to the older model,so it would last just long enough to still make them money...crazy stuff
@@tempestzz5682 Yes, yes, yes!
Chrysler made an engine in the 60s. It was a straight six. I don’t know the exact type, I’m not a car guy. But the engine ran forever, apparently. So they stop making it because they weren’t making enough money on parts. 😱🤦🏻♂️
@@joebiggs4387nope not really but it does remove the most common cause which is the potentiometer going bad or being affected
N64 joysticks uses optical sensors (the laser thingy of the mouse)
We definitely need a wireless version of this
xbox wouldn’t be able to sell their wireless no one would buy
I think it might be wireless already and had the option to run a wire. Only reason I say this is because generally of you get a controller that wired only then it doesn’t have the option to detach the wire from the controller.
@@jay__chughchecked Amazon and it's definitely listed as wired only. The cable just happens to be detachable.
@@jay__chughyes you do haha
@@Connor011 maybe if it’s a random aftermarket one. For most Xbox branded ones it’s hardwired and can’t be removed unless it also supports batteries or an internal power supply.

I really like how this controller works im thinking about waiting some other xbox controller thats coming out but i could get this one
that controller looks 🔥🔥🔥
We should stop rating controllers just by their analog and trigger functions/quality. There are more games than just shooters and RPG's on this planet, so don't base your experiences just on that. I saw the same thing happening with these XB360 controllers. They were horrible to play fighting games with. But nobody seem to judge it based on that.
That’s because shooters and RPG‘s are big, while fighting games are niche. Also most serious fighting game players uses special controllers anyways.
when you put the black faceplate, it riminds me of my ti84
Use PowerA style locks for the cable with a breakaway couple and it would be perfect
They don't use hall effect because it means people need to spend money on purchasing another controller.
His favorite feature of the controller is that they are paying him to say this
Make those a b x y buttons black with the top black, and you got a nice design for that version of the controller

Woah, I've always wanted a controller that combats stickdrift like I combat the other gamers in comp matches
"The gay sir 2700"

It's like sassy the Sasquatch as a human
Xbox (or any other console) won’t ever implement Hall effect into their main controllers because the sticks last longer since it’s magnetic instead of plastic on plastic
“Half of me breakfast is down there.” Caught me off gaurd for some reason. Easily the funniest thing I have heard all day. 🤣
Good ad! Just bought one it will be arriving today, hoping it’s good, but the Hall effect sticks already should blow the default series x controller out of the water
Can you pull the sticks out and swap em ?
Wish it had 2 extra buttons but the polling rate backs it up
This is why I like Xbox, it’s simplicity, to be able to have aftermarket controllers like this no need for extra stuff though I do like the mute mic button on ps5
Actually I just found out this controller has a mute mic button on the back very cool!
Perfect video to pop up in my shorts I’ve been looking for a new controller because I’m definitely going to need one since my current controller is starting to get worn out
What controller is this? I like the design of the dpad over the series controller
I just got another ad of that controller after this short.

Does anyone know if the bumpers have durability issues like the standard Xbox controllers do?
If youre going wired gamesir t4 kalied. Has the new jj16 hall effect sensors. super customizable but works right out the box.

How's the circularity error test? Is it good?
How does the dpad feel? Thats the main thing I look for and i love the micro usb xbox one controller because of the super snappy/clicky dpad that feels really responsive and easy to use

Elite series 2: Am i a joke to you?
Is it only a wired controller? Or are there wireless ones of the same controller as well?
Like the colour scheme, would fit with an old school pc build
Tried this controller but the wire to connect the controller and console together was very loose and I’d lose connection mid fight. Very frustrating
Microsoft will never use hall effect sticks as part of the sales from the controllers is when your analog stick fails, you go to their store to get it replaced/fixed or buy a new controller which generates another income for them.
When you poped up the front plate,,i immediately thinked about how easy it is to clean the controller , something you cant easily do with a regular xbox controller and also the advantage of wired is your controller will never disconnect while you are in game ,,something that can be frustrating when it happen
The only thing this is missing for me is individual d-pad buttons. One of the nicest parts about having a keyboard is the left+right input or down+up input for certain games. Though you could rebind the back buttons for that purpose, it would feel a little clunky
What is the large hole at the bottom not the mic one?
i personally use the Razor Wolverine 1 controller it has 6 remappable buttons, wired (i think 8ft) controller. i don’t believe hall effect joysticks but it comes with carrying case and interchangeable d pad and two extra thumb sticks. personally my favorite controller i’ve used in a very long time. i’ve only had it for a year and see no issues with the controller so far
I got the rig300
If they made a Premium version that had all the other features. Like two additional buttons on the back, clicky face buttons from the standard version of the G7, trigger stops and maybe a different size of thumbsticks since Kontrol Freeks are a nightmare to put on. They would easily be the best on the market, and they would probably inspire a change for the other brands to up their game.
Can you change the thumbs for the joysticks easily with third party ones?
Hall effect joysticks, and back buttons that's all you need for a 10/10 xbox controller
I’ve had one for about two months now and I love it. Haven’t felt any drift (yet), but I will edit this comment when I do. lol
How long was the shipping?
I love the colour scheme of these controllers. Very clean
People who eat food without washing there hands then use a controller are unhinged...
Great, now make the bumpers stop breaking every few months
Is this video mirrored or do you have a left numpad?
