Thank-you for the simple and friendly explanation of how to make your mouse! Your video gave me the confidence that I could actually try it myself instead of buying them.

That’s the goal of these videos!!! I am by no means a professional. I just explain how i tie them :).
Glad my video was able to help and thank you for reaching out!!! Tight lines!!

Great video Chris, love your intro! Love your realism to fly tying, especially when we make mistakes.

Nice fly...but I really wish someone out there would show these guys using a Thompson whip finisher how to use this tool.
The Thompson whip finisher is an awesome tool. You can literally use this tool with one hand. Been using this whip finisher since the late 70's.

Good stuff! Happy to see that you can make these without all the mess with deer hair 😂

I tied something very similar but I use rubber bands cut to a point for the tail.

The Mustad 34007 SS hook kinds sucks cause it tends to bend. Besides, when have you ever seen bright shiny silver on a mouse? Instead, use the less expensive Mustad 3407BN (black nickel). The steel is harder and will not bend as easily and the black nickel blends in with your mouse fly when a fish is eyeballing the fly.

You might try tying with a lighter color shirt. The lack of contrast between the material and your shirt made the video a bit tough to watch.
