i have the silver pass and I think it's the best value for money if you like theme parks. The reason is, it includes fright nights access, which means you can spend 12 hours in a park. I wouldn't go to the theme parks in August anyway as the queues are around 1 hours per ride so not worth it in terms of experience. if you want to enjoy a theme park, never go on school holidays and weekends.
I am interested in a pass but I hear the number of slots for Merlin Pass is limited each day (one whistle blower said one attraction have only 4 slot pass members each day). Any thoughts?

I got my monthly pass during black friday last year, got my Joining fee free of charge, making it cheaper than you purchase annually

Difference is £20 quid yearly though between silver & Gold
