Neil's Down & Out Triumph Street Twin

- Finally!! Neil McNicol came to pick his f*%@ing bike up after abandoning it here at the 'Shed during a boozy club night.
This Triumph Street Twin was built by Carl from Down & Out for himself to enjoy but Neil twisted his arm into selling it. The D&O recipe is fairly familiar these days and the guys have a really slick production process. Barely a week goes by without us seeing a D&O Bonnie, Thruxton or Street Twin here in Shoreditch. In fact we've owned a few!
If you fancy fitting some of the parts yourself head to the Down and Out website bespokemotorcycles.co.uk or talk to Shaun about building one to your spec.

Gorgeous looking bike, who needs loud? The sound is just perfect!
His outfit is awesome
absolutely - gotta know where he got that jacket and pants
Lovely understated bike, the cream and chrome colour scheme looks great as well.
Man, when he fired up that engine...i return for this sound for 2 years now. Rip man....
My goodness even the exhaust tone is gorgeous!!!!
When I'm his age. This is how I want to roll. Kinda jealous but I'm working on it.
Neil has spent years perfecting his banter and panache. ...Definitley something we'd all like to emulate!
@@BikeShedMotoCo do you know what exhaust is in the bike
the tires and cream color really give it the throwback classic look
Lovely looking bike, always liked Triumph motorbikes, haven't lost there appeal , even though there now very modern mechanics, they still have that retro look of days gone by, take me back to when I had a Triumph Tiger cub, only 200cc but had nice little note to it, That was in 1966/67, at the moment I ride a B M W 750c, which I've had for about nine years, and it's a great bike really comfortable, it's a 1987 , my son sprayed it white and it looks good, and it still pulls like a train, love older bikes.
Beautiful bike, man is living the dream 👍
This is my favourite bike shed bike (so far). Gutted to hear about Neil, what a totally cool guy.
He was/is a legend.
He was the coolest!
Just need to watch the clip from time to time (always in my heart) - happy memories at schools, early teens, get togethers, phone calls etc, etc - listening to Neil as I type - God bless and rest until we meet again Gregor xx
looked like such a nice bike. Then he starts it and the sound...warm and lovely. I'd keep it too.
Rip Neil ❤️

Down & Out Cafe Racer's exhaust
Hi ! The sound is gorgeous ! Is the catalyst still there or not ?
How did Neil pass away?
what tires are those
Hello !
Where can I buy this exhaust ? I didn't find it on " bespokemotorcycles "
Thanks
The guys at Down & Out cafe racer's don't sell these exhausts, but they might produce and fit one for you.
Bike Shed Motorcycle Club i'm highly interested. The sound is perfect. How much does it cost ? It's for a 2018 street twin with stock pipes ( I'm in France )
I have no idea - you'll have to contact Down & Out Customs.
Hey, whats happening on march 22nd in Lisbon?!
Press launch of a new Ducati.
Name of exhaust please
Please do a speedtwin 1200
Can someone tell me Name of the
exhaust ?
It's made by Down & Out Cafe Racers. You can find them online and ask if they will supply?
@bike shed motorcycle club
What kind of pants is Neil wearing?
They look like Pando Moto trousers.
Close enough, thanks!
what a nice leather jacket. does anybody know the name/brand of his jacket? :)
It's a Gold Top "Brown Bobber" (the brand hand been around for donkeys years) and I think we are the only stockists of these brown asymmetric classic jackets. Prices are extremely good too. Come at see at 384 Old St.
Enough of your fantasies Dawg!
great! thank you
Roland Sands clash jacket ;)
My Brown bobber Goldtop jacket like Neil’s arrived today, absolutely blown away by the quality,
That dog comment was strange :)
The nowt so queer as folk...
It totally threw me. Just seemed a very weird thing to say.
Anybody know what tyres they are?
They are Firestones, or copies by someone like Coker.
Stock exhaust?
Open end cans on standard downpipes, which still have the cat.
That guy just oozes wealth lol
This looks like my kinda shop, too bad its so far from my neck o'wood !
Can anyone share the details of the tyres and exhaust pleasev
david mathews we’re not fully sure. This one was recorded a while ago and sadly Neil passed away. The tyres look to be Firestone’s. The exhaust header pipes are stock street twin but the mufflers are probably either Down and Out’s own creation or possibly British Custom’s Predator Pro’s. For confirmation maybe email Down and Out Motorcycles with a screenshot and ask them. Hopefully that helps david!
Bike Shed Motorcycle Club my condolences. Thank you for the prompt response. I really appreciate it. Will follow up as directed.
What are the wheels and tires? They're the perfect size!
😬. Can’t remember fully… they look like stock street twin wheels on Coker Beck tyres
@downandoutmotorcycles will be able to confirm. 👍🏼
@@BikeShedMotoCo Thanks for the reply! Y'all are awesome. I ask because I want to do the same to my street twin haha. It looks awesome.
What is that jacket anyone know!??
Gold Top. Available at the Bike Shed, in store in Old Street.
Gold top bobber check their website
Sounded like a cool guy ...me being Scottish I’m beast though
"250cc Hondas" let that marinate for a bit
I have 3 250cc Honda's two of which are my daily transport at the moment, but then I'm not rich by any means. Sad to hear Neil died though. 59, that's my age now although 60 looms next month.
@@keepitrunning I am not rich either but the smaller bikers are apart of history and are greatly underappreciated...Hondas 125s and 250s are quite powerful and with proper tuning and mods more power can be taken out of them...solid stuff...keep riding them 250s🤟💪💞
.
Sad to lose such a good man like him 💞
What wheels are those?
I think they are stock rims with different tyres, but the D&O team can confirm this.
@@BikeShedMotoCo do you know where I can find them?
Andres Carrera google Down and Out Motorcycles. They should have contact details there. If you’re talking about where to find the wheels, Triumph dealerships will sell you them.
@@BikeShedMotoCo Thanks alot!
Does anyone know which wheels they used?
The D&O boys usually lace H-D 16 inch rims to the standard hubs.
Bike Shed Motorcycle Club thanks!
Do you also know which set of tires they use, shinko's?
Там чувак чай пил и задохнулся
