Casually dropping a >10 sec WR in 0 Star might be more absurd than accidentally improving an already pristine 1 Star WR-or obliterating the 70 Star WR in a week and a half of attempts.
..None of which will ever match his impossible 14:35. He'll likely get the 120 record, but at this point he doesn't even need it to easily be considered the best SM64 speedrunner ever.

@@tolius99976 of them are just minor frames adding up across jumps that could have just a slightly better angle. Main 'mistakes' were a slow jump from the first of two BLJ at the end, and a slow second BLJ right after. Those cost the 2 seconds that he lost after BitFS into BitS.

@@BlackScreen-BSThat speedrun you're referring to was done by TAS (an outdated one as well), which is separated to it's own category as it involves external tools to slow down the game, save states, that sorta thing. This here is the current WR for a real time speedrun without any sort of external tools.

To be honest I was sure that he would smash his old time much faster. In the end it took more than half a year.
But it's really nice to see it finally happened.
Seeing how optimized and short this category is and how little room there's left for improvement or finding new strategies this record could be one if not the final one in this category. (Even though there were minor mistakes that took a few seconds)

Not in 0 star. There are different categories for different star counts for beating the game
The main 5 are
0 Star (Beat the game without collecting a single star)
1 Star (Beat the game without skipping Dire Dire Docks so you properly unlock Bowser in the Fire Sea)
16 Star (Beat the game by getting 15 stars and using MIPS to get into Dire Dire Docks and Bowser in the Fire Sea)
70 Star (Beat the game normally)
120 Star (100% the game)
