Kurt heard Marigold from the next room when they were living together in the middle of the night and said "Hey, what's that?" He wanted to incorporate this and Alone + Easy Target into Nirvana but was too nervous to ask Dave to change the lyrics. Imagine if Kurt and Dave would have written more together, Lennon and McCartney all over again. There was definitely some weird energy going on at the end, jealousy, a power struggle or perceived one. Everyone knowing their place. At the end of the "intervention" In March 94' Kurt and Pat went and jammed on new songs in the basement so, who knows.
Dave Grohl actually showed this song and “Alone + Easy Target” to Cobain and he actually liked them, maybe they would’ve released them in another Nirvana album…
Has a good Pixies vibe. Don’t make it longer. Frank Black was once asked why his best hooks were so short. He said because the point was already made, so why make a good song boring? I’d personally rather hit replay on a good song than tolerate a good hook getting ruined through repetition.
Had kurt lived, This could have been an opportunity for dave to show how much he'd grown as a songwriter, writing lyrics & doing more vocal parts in nirvana

Hey kris what do you think of my latest demo "I hid flowers under her bed"
I expected this video to be 7 years old and have no views but I'm so glad it got recommended and it's recent. Love the vibe it gives.

Yeah but Dave said kurt of may of been to shy to ask to change the lyrics so they never got round to it
Ah yes two legends meet. Kurt meeting one of his writing and intellectual heroes William S Burroughs. I
Kurt wore that Sonic Youth shirt in his last show in Munich, March 1st 1994.
You should make a full version this sounds very convincing

Nice job! You should find a guy who sounds like Kurt for a voice over. I can literally hear him sing that song.
