- The Nightingale was a pretty popular blaster, so it's not surprising that Dart Zone decided to make their own version. What is a surprise is how many features you get out of the Dart Zone Max Venom, especially at only $50.

On Out of Darts, the Nightingale 2.0 is $95 and includes 1 15-round magazine. The Venom Pro comes with a battery and 2 12-round magazines for $50, which gives it much more bang for buck.
Worker Direct has lowered the Nightingale 2.0 to $79 semi $89 full.
Dart Zone always give more bang for your buck
@@aceherb1755 100% agree, there no beating their retail presence.
I got the lower power semi-auto Nightingale on Amazon for $50 - that is of course withOUT the battery.
I got it a week before this was announced. Had I known I probably would have passed on the Nightingale, BUT I still do not regret the purchase. Low power semiauto Nightingale is still an excellent CQB pistol, and I intend to SMGify my Venom.
Also the Nightingale 2 burns out when using a 4s *like worker says to use*
Just thought I'd offer a little insight about the battery: There are many different types of lithium chemistry batteries. The three most common you'll likely see are Lithium Cobalt Oxide (most commonly called Lithium Ion or Li-ion, and is the type foind in this blaster), Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4), and Lithium Polymer (Li-Po). Lithium Cobalt Oxide are most commonly found as 18650-sized, spiral-wound cells, which are exactly what is used in the Venom Pro.
Technically, they're all lithium ion, but lithium cobalt oxide is the only one referred to as lithium ion by name. The others are almost always called by their specific chemistry type.
In ascending order of energy density, they rank as such: LiFePO4, Li-ion, Li-Po. For general chemistry stability and relative safety rankings, simply reverse that order.
Also, charging profiles are different among the different chemistry types, so I would stick to only using the charger that came with the blaster if you can't get one with a setting specifically for Li-ion. After all, during charging is when any lithium chemistry battery is most susceptible thermal runaway.
I picked this up a few days ago and I've been shooting it every day since. It's my first flywheel pro blaster and I love it already
nice
Same here. Loving it as well.

Saaameeeee bro
@@Littlebird-m9xNo you
this value is insane
I bought two for my boys and I think I'm having more fun with them than they are. Haha.
For HvZ springer loadouts, having something like this to fall back on is awesome.
The best part about this is dartzone. Dartzone does not seem to like resting on its laurels. Which means there is probably a rev2 in the works which will only further refine the product. I will probably pick this up on sale... or when REV2 drops.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the second version has select fire.
just buy one! you won't be disappointed
Must buy, its a nearly perfect secondary at $50. Great Lithium Ion battery, great ergo, the rev trigger is easy to get used to, two magazines, 24 great darts, cool punch out target box, eye pro, easy to single fire shots. "Just buy a Venom Pro bro!"
The fact that this is on shelves is nice. That fact let's it compete at least somewhat with the Transparent Mini Uzi machine pistol (which is 2 stage and uses regular talon mags).
The DartZone SCAR fits inside, lowers it to around 100 fps
The Nerf Sender is cooked
While they are similar on paper I think the higher fps and stock mount will make th sender better in the long run
I actually got to almost 3000 rounds with one battery charge
Tbh I'm not surprised at all... It feels so consistent....
I'm still on the same charge the battery came with. I'm guessing I've put 400-500 rounds through it.
It's a very right-handed blaster, so dual-wield potential is limited. That said, I've been enjoying mine a lot so far. The rechargeable battery is a huge plus, as batteries are often the sticking point that turns me off of electric blasters.
As a lefty, I’ve found the backstrap rev-trigger frees up my middle finger for the mag drop. I think if I was firing it right handed, my thumb would have a hard time reaching the mag release.
This is a great blaster, especially for HvZ. This blaster and a belt of mags is going to be great for a light loadout
The way you said ASMR @3:48 was absolutely evil
I got one the first chance I could!! I love it! The power & price for what you get is amazing!
It’s a Nerf Hi-Point, and I’m here for it.
How does one say you love it without sayin' you love it? Buy it! Bought mine last evening. My Target in Central Texas had one left. Immediately played for an hour in the backyard till sundown. So sweet.
I would like a rubberized wrap to cover the grip ala the Nightingale.
Anybody got an idea for that?
Drac, very interested in your holster idea!
- Scopes Maverick
Love this pistol, but after testing today at the Dark Corps Armory range, the Nitro darts are the best ranking to date 9.9 out of 10 through a recent 200 FPS springer. - New Hasbro Pro white foam darts impressed also at around 9.7! Best year for new dart styles!!
Interesting that Dart Zone has really caught up to the hobby level blasters. Maybe the FPSs aren't the same, but the mag in grip, flywheel pistol is really the most high tech design at the hobby level.
If you want a bespoke custom holster in your colors reach out to me!
This and the thunderbolt would be a dream backyard king's loadout.
had to to a second target to get minne
Looks like one could easily body mod these into the Phase Pistols from Star Trek Enterprise. Time for that Romulan War 2160s cosplay😂😂😂
I already converted mine to smg style. It works really well with the beaver rev setup.
Im having so much fun with it
Bought one. Modding it now.
Awesome target setup! Maybe mark where the darts are exactly hitting on the target (using editing) because its very bright so I cant see where the darts are hitting!
great review! however what you said about the magwell was slightly misleading, the way it was described implied the magwell was flat or not flared, and it isnt dramatically flared or as flared as i think is possible with how thick the surrounding plastic walls are, however it is slightly flared. id say its a pretty good magwell. thats the only problem i saw. great review otherwise, im glad theres finally a mag in grip full auto pistol in an affordable price range. picked up two of them on launch day (i think) been having a TON of fun with them.
I may buy another one.
🔥🔥🔥
I can't wait for it to go on sale
...so I can get a 2nd one
Bought one yesterday, rev trigger wasn’t engaging at all so I took it back🤷🏻♂️
I hv several motorized blasters & this 1 by far is the best..evn more so thn my Nerf Ultra Speed
Wow!
I bought on and it jammed the first day I bought it, I had to unscrew the hole thing just to get the dart out. The stryker 2.0 is a lot better
Just FYI li-Po Li-ion and LiFePo are all separate battery chemistry’s. So in this case it’s just Li-ion 😊
Nice 🎉
What kind of fps numbers does it get with the non-pro darts?
Was the grouping tighter with the AF Pro darts? Hard for me to tell with so few shots, but it sure looked like it was. If I can get the power down below 100fps easily for kid-friendly battles, I would love to pick this up.
if you have Scar Barrel, it drops it to 100
@@captsomeguy1 Like the ones Dart Zone released earlier this year? Would you happen to know if the threaded one or the roller one works better?
@ianbui5356 the threaded one would probably work best given the design of the venom
If anyone is wondering, the roller one won't fit without some kind of adapter, but the threaded one will fit by itself if you slide it almost completely into the muzzle.
The rev "trigger" IMO is not as good in a pistol form as it would be with a shouldered rifle. Fortunately once XFoxGames releases his Venom Pro SMG kit I will absolutely be buying one and making it my flywheel secondary to my NPX primary, with a lower-power Nightingale as a sidearm and a 180FPS full-dart flywheeler for when I just need to scare the crap out someone. :P
This man's head is getting bigger.
bring back live chronograph shots
mod guide yes please!!
0:40 That's a sectional view not an exploded view.
Sectional views show the assembled view while and exploded view shows the internals outside of the shell in an order that demonstrates assembly.
Sorry
Got mine last Friday. Nice little power house, but I have a hard time engaging the rev switch for some reason.
Would buy it if the color is less lame
The nightingale 1.0 full-auto version is currently slightly above $50. That is a way better value than the venom.
Id be all over this if it was semi auto
the trigger is really nice and it's very very easy to fire off single shots!
@@dancarthen3634 yeah, truthfully, I only plan to single shot this, and it's possible, just tap the trigger
This is a total piece of junk. a huge waste of potential... it's terrible in most objective ways. the ONLY selling point is what I have heard every review say "It's only 50 dollars!!!"
yeah, sure... a burning '94 Corolla costs less than a new Lambo. That doesn't make it a "good deal".
This is ONLY 50 dollars!
A better way to say that is:
This is ONLY a waste of 50 dollars!
Buy a Nightingale. (personally, I prefer the 1.0)
Someone’s upset their nightingale is being outclassed by a $50 store bought blaster.
@@breathingbackwards949you are 100 percent correct
@breathingbackwards949 😂 he's super angry
You said it yourself... "This is a hobby grade product" that you can buy at Target" That's the issue.
As a TOY off the shelf from Target, compared to Nerf elite 2.0 or blasters shaped like dinosaurs or Minecraft whatevers.... Sure. It's pretty great for fifty bucks. But those are toys for LITLE kids. And it isn't fair to compare those. While on the same shelf they are for two completely different categories of end user.
As a Hobby grade product however... you have to compare it to other Hobby grade products in it's category. In that case... This thing is genuinely a bad build. Nothing on this thing is as good or better than the Nightingale which came out years ago. If you know what that is then you care about those things and that makes this "TOY" a waste of money.
I am super tired of reviewers fawning over a piece of junk and being dishonest about it. gross.
Mayor of Yaptown over here 🗣
Stay mad
Okay Donald Trump. Some of us ain't got $100 to blow on a damn Nightingale. Some of us ain't even got $50 to blow on this. But the Venom is far more readily available than the Nightingale. For the longest time, I could never find it. This is mass released. I genuinely thought this is what we wanted.
The low barrel on the Nexus Pro X and the Venom is soooooooooooooooooooooo stupid. Terrible design.
