Hate watchers are an incredibly small minority that's mostly blown up as an attempt to proclaim victory from people who want to think that Hate Watchers are significant, like with Velma Season 2. The reality of Velma season 2 was that it was already part of the deal with Season 1's productionn and the actual reports of viewership showed that Velma Season 1 was a horrendous financial failure with horrendous viewership making the Hate Watch narrative fall apart.
The marketing team tried to put spins on it proclaiming that Velma Season 1 was the most watched new animated show of the season, but the reality was that it was the only animated show at that time that was released, so it was a race against nobody. The actual charts that follows the money and follows the consumption of the content showed abysmal numbers but they had already cemented a deal for two seasons right off the bat.
The reality is that they make up a tiny fraction of people who are extremely vocal like any fringe extremist groups. The most toxic and brain dead type of anti will hate watch solely to harass and even send supas just to harass, or will just be there to silently report the yabs to other antis in forums or in clips, and you can tell from the CCV of some hated people, these folks probably number in the single digits, or in the two digits at the very best..
The majority of people just either:
A) Watch someone else react or report about the content they want to make fun of or are curious about, because actually listening in is multiple hours long of investment is not a worthy time investment to which anyone who's already in Vtubing likely already has their hands full with a dozen different VTubers they love to watch.
or B) Just don't consume any of the content to begin with including the news on them because they just naturally filter to what they like to watch. Most people aren't like the terminally online crowd with the level of obsession to scour through hundreds of hours of content or years of past online posts to try to stir the pot.
Really, you'll find more people campaigning about not hate watching than you will find actual hate watchers.
Honestly if someone joins knowingly to Niji it should be expected of them to be horrible people as well, so mo point saving

On one hand, despite everything that has happened, this is still a huge chance for these three Vtubers to make a name for themselves in a big spotlight. And I sincerely wish them the best of luck.
On the other hand, it would be the absolute peak of naivete if they tackle this new journey with a mindset of "nothing has happened". I really hope they approach it in a way where they are aware of Nijisanji's current state and they aim to use the company as a platform instead of joining the "happy family" bs.

I think even other livers from niji is ALWAYS saying that Rosemi is pure, and if EVERY liver there is saying this, there should be a psychological effect on their viewers since they hear that a lot of times.

Thankfully, Rosemi wasn't one of them (and I say this as a Rosebud). If she had anything, it would have surfaced by now or then, yet nothing came of it for her unlike some others.
If they've done something bad in their past, it will catch up to them no matter how much they try to hide it and it will happen when they least expect it. This applies to everyone, not just anyone in NijiEN who has a dark past they want nobody to know about.

Some people that I know have been streaming for upwards of 6 years while averaging 20 viewers max. Joining any corporation, whether it be a small company or big, allows a chance of entertaining a bigger audience. Also, these models seem expensive. It's definitely not something an indie vtuber can afford, so I would say that Niji "might" be improving.

They're using this generation as a stopgap method of generating income, a spike to make their earnings report for this quarter to not look so dismal. I hope these people find a way to get out of the toxicity before it gets too late, but I'm not watching them as a message that using people as bandaids doesn't work.

My first guess for the talents are that they definitely got hired 8 months to a year ago and can’t leave that far into the contract since drama happened 4-5 months ago, nijisanji could make them compensate money for backing out so late (since technically Niji is spending some money on them and there could be a clause in the contract that says “if contract is broken after X date, you will have to pay for the amount we spent on you” which could be up to a couple hundred to thousands. Also, Most people saw Niji as a trustworthy source so probably not have had a lawyer look at it or at the very least I wouldn’t have because I also trusted that they wouldn’t fuck me over.
The second idea is that they are nijisisters that don’t care or were nepo-hires that see nijisanji as a saint that does nothing wrong ever.
The last idea is that they are just seeing how it goes and if they really hate it, won’t renew the contract.
Nijisanji is definitely taking the Miniladd route. Do I think they are trying to be better? No not proactively. they are most likely waiting for the storm to blow over by pretending nothing happened and even deleting Reddit post and what not.
As far as we know, niji doesn't spend anything on the debuts of the talents. So I kinda feel like your first point is the most kinda mute. Even more so since we know that their "contract" wouldn't hold up in a western court of law and assuming that the new talents don't live in Japan (yet).
what people don't know, is that some of these talents just enter a company and start being corpo to make clout and when they feel like they got the people they want, they would graduate and return to indie/start over without any of the corpo's rules, with own management and with all the money getting to them directly

There's potential evidence for a 4th member of that generation having left before debut since during the height of the Selen drama, an indie vtuber by the name of GrimmiVT un-graduated and returned to her indie career. When she returned she was very suggestive about the then-currently developing situation with Nijisanji too
Fingers crossed for their futures, hate watching is a thing that should absolutely not be done as it only ever gives Niji an excuse they don't need or deserve to have. Hopefully things go alright for these new talents, don't they still have another group backlogged?

Continue as an Indie with all the old followers from the Niji period and the newer ones who hate Niji and won’t watch but now they will because you’re indie…

This is what I hate about the employer/employee style of Vtuber companies. They are able to hold the talents hostage.
I wish them all the absolute best of luck, but man do I fear for them. But it’s their lives. I can’t tell them what to do, nor do I want to. But I hope everything turns out ok for them.
Hololive also implemented the employer/employee style of a typical company as well, the only difference being quality control and detailed management, as well as a fair treatment to everyone under (the talents get monthly salary, excluding the addition of 50% of their merch sales).
@@ThatchNetherfold I have no beef with Hololive. I just personally like the agency style of managment more. Business ownership of Idol personas is just too susceptable to abuse. Hololive is able to run their business that way because there are trustworthy, good people at the top. But one exception doesn't change the fact that Vtubers are better off owning their personas.

I think so too. I think they took the Lazulight and Obsidia route where they already had people that they wanted to debut in the next wave and just trained them early. So it’s probably the same with TTT and this new group where they were probably casted at the same time but were going to debut at a later date.
It would make sense their debut wasn’t earlier especially since the situation with Doki happened and the constant drama Niji is getting into. Also can’t forget the fact that they lost a whole bunch of sponsors as well.

I think people want to simplify the world in black and white, because that makes it easier to process.
Unfortunately though, reality more often than not turns out to be more nuanced.
I don't like people giving into emotional impulses and hate tweeting about whatever is in the headlines at the moment. It is our responsibility to consider the counter arguments and think before we talk. Unfortunately, the internet has made it easier and easier to post anything that comes to mind on impulse.
The new talents must be well aware of the situation and considered things before signing up. It is likely they either like the opportunities Niji opens up for them enough to take on the risks. And not all of Niji is responsible for the bad stuff that happened. The new members might just turn out for the better.
Or they could just be naïve and signed without consulting anyone, setting themselves up for disaster, but I doubt that.

At the end of the day being a liver in niji is simply just a job. Not a dream-come-true like how hololive might be but there are still a lot of livers who currently are happy in the company that gets dragged into this mess. They're human too
