Forlorn is back with a bang! I really like that they kept at least some of the classic chanting while giving it a new ghostly voice to sell the eerieness of the arena, especially at night.
The main instruments have an amazing beat to it as well.

Tbh this feels weaker than the original version, the riff behind the chanting has been minimized to a point it is almost mute. Does not kick as hard as the OG version. Rise has had a tendency to diminish the "oomph" of almost all classic themes, even the ones that got vocals added sound very bleak and weak when compared to their classic counterparts.
Only exceptions are Mizu theme, Astalos, and the two Magala themes.

This theme is nostalgia bomb that slap harder then poisonous tail of lucent nargacuga and gold rathian combined.

This theme was pretty good before, but HOLY SHIT THEY TURNED THIS SONG INTO BEYOND A MASTERPIECE, THIS IS UNBELIEVABLY GOOD

I like the theme, the female vocals are really good it out classes the og one for me. Also they made silverlos a fun fight for once and the music makes it such a majestic fight, i love how the metal on the raths looks alot better too, they're definitely my favorites. And I'm happy silver has a set perfect for my weapon!
Remember back in 4u when all you had protecting you from Molten Tiggy were those little pillars? Now its filled with all these endemic species that makes everything easier. I’m not complaining…it’s just the experience is just so different now.
Probably because this is a remake of MHFU Tower instead of the MH4U one, which didn't have any pillar but was bigger.
With this being my first time experiencing this locale, I gotta say this track is an absolute BANGER 🔥 🎶
It is a shame we cannot actually go into the tower itself anymore like in Freedom 2, it defeats the point of the track being titled "The Tower"

May not have the vocals much as original but god when you fight the monsters there, you can feel the terrifying power and seriousness of the battle through this ost

People are all about if this version or the frontier low rank version is better, but y'all sleeping on the original Dos theme of the tower.
I like how they they have extended as well as remixed the old tunes from MHFU.
The first time i hear this was on freedom unite, and spend a week to find heavenly dragon, and then it feels nolstagic rise bring this back

This brings back big memories, of the lost potential that Monster Hunter has with its storytelling. It could go WAY MORE into the part of
"There was once an ancient civilisation, way more advanced than we are today. But it was a cruel civilisation and destroyed by vengeful (black) dragons.
Speaking any more of it or trying to uncover its secrets is forbidden by law.
There is a cult around keeping information on the black dragons hidden, they burn every book that is written about them.
For some reason, the ruins of the great civilisation are still the place where the most powerful monsters congregate. Rumors say, it was us who made these monsters.
Since humans can no longer be trusted to lead civilisation (except for village elders, that are always monitored by the guild), the 'world police' known as the 'hunters guild' is exclusively run by Wyvarians. Humans that go against the laws of the hunters guild are hunted down by the 12 famous guild knights and brought to justice."
I think there are more snippets of information like this, but I want to learn way more about the past of this world. I want political struggle, because of the seperated system of Wyverians and Humans portrayed and resolved in the games. Maybe even one day have a game where you play as guild knight. The ruins are often only a backround aesthetic, but I want to truly interact with them, explore them and understand them. Where do Humans, Wyverians, Chaka Laka and Felynes come from? How did they live in the ancient civilisation? What is the origin of Elder Dragons?
Capcom could create a very story driven and dark game, if they explored this avenue...
Oh wait, I just remembered that this game is about bonking some dragon on the noggin. Right, back to hunting. :D

I think the tower in the background is the tower where you fight Molten Tigrex in 4U.
Which is the top of the same tower that you can go explore in MH1 to Freedome unite.
In recent years from 3U, 4U and GU the place is shorted to just the two areas that hold an arena for elusive and exotic type of monsters. (Lucent narga, metal raths, kirin and more).@@somerandomdude7785

I want Terraria, Don't Starve Together, and Monster Hunter to all make a game together. These are some of my favorite games and they all have things i wish they all had. I want the same Boss battles from Monster Hunter Rise. I want the digging exploring and lot hunting like terraria and the day n night cycle and mob functions like DST.

PS: I hope someone combine this with the old one so we can see how hype those two are combine. The added notes and drums in this one mixed with the louder chanting, the intense violin and flutes of the OG.

The male vocals could use a bit more reverb to be honest. Or maybe some volume? I don't know what it's needs, but it sounds a bit too subtle, needs a bit more boom IMHO. But this is a pretty awesome remake. So far, Sunbreak has been delivering in terms of old themes IMHO. :D

@@oeeo6thealatreon118 Might help. But I don't think it's just that. In the older theme, it sounded like it was being chanted by a multitude. Or maybe like they're in a cavern or something. Also, they removed that more sustained voice line playing over the chant. I think it adds a lot to the old theme.
In this one, it sounds like someone's just coughing over the recording. I like the new female voices though, sounds haunting, like in the Rise Narga theme. Actually, everything else sounds superior to me IMHO. It's just the chanting that's disappointing for me.

Well they may have restrictions to the sound of the vocals because A. The vocals are for rise only and this is mainly sunbreak and B. They could get in trouble for the chanting, so they had to tone it down. That was the same reason the jungle theme had no chanting in its remake.
@@devastation2005 Sunbreak themes in general have no vocals. Apparently, it's pretty expensive to hire singers (a bunch of them for Rise, sounds like), so that's probably why they cut it in the expansion. But the fact that they added some here shows how important it is to the theme.
I don't really get why they would get in trouble for chanting. I mean... the vocals are already there. I'm no expert, but seems to me that some sound mixing would do the job. So it's most likely an artistic choice, which just so happens to not agree with me personally.
Rise and Sunbreak themes generally seem to have that simpler and super clean sound, which is actually one of the parts I don't like about it. Sounds like some of them lack texture, if that makes sense. Though they're still pretty banging. Easily up there with 3rd gen for my favorite MH soundtrack.

yeah ever since mh went 5th gen some tracks older tracks lose their oomph
its not always the case (seregios for example) but i can definitely hear it here
though i do really like the new part they added towards the end but up until that point i think i prefer the original

**Molten tigrex intensifies**
This theme sounds a lot like the Rise Jungle theme especially around 0:56.
Finally, a Rise remaster with KICK to it. This song bites, in a good way. Especially at 0:45. This is like something out of Iceborne, rather than Rise or Sunbreak, but Sunbreak seems to be emulating Iceborne in terms of how the themes are anyways, so.
Iceborne butchered some remixes though, like Glavenus and Alatreon (RIP electric guitar).

*opinion alert*
The tower theme is one of my absolute favourites, but this rendition leaves a sour taste in my mouth (together with some other new themes like Astalos' Rise version)
Now the buildup till 0:55 is pretty good (as is 1:25), but the actual climax at 0:55 with the chanting is just really lackluster compared to the old one, which is where I am stuck on repeat for hours on the original because I love it so much.
Generally, Rise for me either really hits the mark (Lava Caverns/Zinogre/Sandy Plains) or completely misses it (this/Astalos/Valstrax), and I often am a pretty big fan of the new themes - new jungle is great as is flooded forest, which is one where I loathed the old version. It may also not help that the fights against the two metal raths are a straight downgrade from world to just being sheer annoying once more. Lucent Nargacuga at least is still glorious.

Kinda of dookie and just not intense like the previous. Just sounds like Marvel just collaborated with Monster Hunter. I’m very passionate with original OST from the series. Now just putting extra remix just destroy the true atmosphere of monster hunter. It doesn’t feel like I’m hunting a exotic creature in a intense battle in the most mysterious place. It just feels like I’m a super hero with spider like ability and just going brain dead. I love the original OST of the series, but this is not it chief.
