When a person experiences a stroke, every second counts. Evaluation and determination of appropriate stroke treatment can take place at a stroke center. The sooner this happens, the better, as there is a certain amount of time following a stroke in which a person is eligible for acute stroke treatment. This is why stroke detection is so important.
