Jalalabad State University situated in Jalalabad city is a government university that hosts a Department of Medical Faculty to facilitate the medical studies for international students. This university was established in 1993 and is one of the oldest universities in Kyrgyzstan.
Jalal-Abad State University (JASU) has 10 facilities such as Pedagogical, Medicine, Natural studies, Philology and journalism, Philology of nations of CIS, Social humanities, International relations, and world languages, Economic and business, Engineering technology, Information-communication technology.
The salient features of this university are as follows:
1. Managed by the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyz Republic & Ministry of Education & Science of Kyrgyz Republic.
2. Recognized by WHO & MCI.
3. At present about 2800 Indian students alone are studying at university in the faculty of medicine.
4. Faculty of general medicine is only in English medium from the rest of the faculties which are in the Russian medium.
5. University is involved in research, scientific training, and practical oriented sessions.
6. University hostels have options of 2/3/4 seater rooms and are on a first come first serve basis.
7. Hostels equipped with modern security, fire alarm safety, and round clock security. Well equipped with heating systems, furnished study tables, chairs, lamps, wardrobes, bed, and bed-sheets.
8. The individual floor has common washrooms, toilets, and a kitchen.
9. Indian mess available; breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
10. No need to pay for the electricity, water, or cooking gas bill if staying in a hostel.
