Hang Con 2023, what a great event!
This was my first trip to Hang Con, I've heard about it for a few years but haven't been able to make it until this year. I'm so glad that i prioritized this event and made it.
The amount of work put into Hang Con 2023 by the coordinators was mind boggling. From the text updates for classes and meals, all the delicious food that was prepared and served, organizing, overseeing, and promoting the vendors, and running the huge raffle!!! Big thanks to All the volunteers!!!
It was definitely a cold weekend for hammock camping, but i had some new gear to try out. I decided this would be the perfect trip to try out my new Onetigris Kompound Hammock and my One Wind Outdoors underquilt. I had some growing pains with the new hammock, but ultimately got them worked out and the underquilt worked out great. SUCCESS!!
I can't recommend this event enough, whether you hammock camp or not!
This was a community event, you could feel it from everyone!!

I agree. I bought the OneTigris myself, but I found it far too short for my comfort.
I have two bags I use, the River Country hammock from Washington and a Warbonnet Eldorado Both of them are the 11' size, and I love them both.
I was able to make it work after I figured out the set up but it's a different beast for sure!

I like the Haven Hammock tents!
It would be great for a smaller person, a little tight for me. The one I tried was the XL! They have a smaller one. They're pretty heavy though.
Are they going to have that again this year, and if so where.
As far as I know they are. I don't have any info on the next one yet though.

i have a 8ft 6inch hammock and i hate it. i much perfer my 11ft. where was this in 2023?
I agree, the shorter hammocks are just too hard to get comfortable in!

Definitely cold during the raffle and that night, a won something on the first two rounds during the raffle. It's fun just walking around and looking at the different hammock setups.

Honestly idk if they have one there or not! You could probably look up hammock hangs or conventions in your area though! If not, create one!!!!
Get yourself a 11ft - 12ft double hammock, you will never go back to the short claustrophobic single shoulder squeeze option 🏕
That's what I've always had prior to that hammock, it didn't use it long! Now I'm using the Hanging High Hammocks REM Hammock and it's awesome! Thanks for watching!
