House music, the only genre of music that will never be included on any chart, no one will accept an award, yet quite possibly some of the best music for it's generation.
Which is sad because house music has proven itself to be a standalone genre and even go all the way to the top of the Hot 100 chart. Martha Wash was the female singer to get a house music song at the number 1 position on the pop chart.

the reason why it sounds as same as the original is because it is. their microphones are turned down so their basically lip synching and singing along. you can hear the difference at the end of crystal waters real voice when she sings the last la da de la de da then it switches to cece peniston who is 100% lip syncing. the dj isn't doing anything except announcing the singers. its a common for "live" tv shows to do this

Frankly, on a dance floor in the 2020s you don't even know who the artist is on most of what DJs are playing. These 3 ladies and their biggest hit records set dance floors on fire. They brought passion and joy to the clubs. Last time I hit a dance floor before the pandemic it had all the energy of a bunch of spiritless robots. BRING BACK THE DANCE FLOOR AS CHURCH! For gods sake somebody bring the soul back to dance music! I am so tired of dance records that don't inspire my soul or feet. Frankly, on a dance floor in the 2020s you don't even know who the artist is on most of what DJs are playing. These 3 ladies and their biggest hit records set dance floors on fire. They brought passion and joy to the clubs. Last time I hit a dance floor before the pandemic it had all the energy of a bunch of spiritless robots. BRING BACK THE DANCE FLOOR AS CHURCH! We need it more than ever in this ugly and depressing era of socio-political divisiveness, cheesy reality show politics in which politicians act more like self-promoting television actors instead of serving the public, and the virus-of-the-month keeping us all in a constant state of anxiety.
