I always learn so much from your videos, thank you for making these. As you point out often the borders of nations don't always make for the most practical definitions of regions. I would love if you could dive into a culture or people in more episodes rather than a state if you're willing. Especially people whose ancestral homelands are occupied and/or who have or are experiencing cultural erasure or genocide. I know you try to avoid anything too heavy since these are ASMR but I would love, for example to simply learn more about the history and culture of Uighur people, Coast Salish people, Haudenosaunee, Sami, Tutsi, Ainu, or Aboriginal Australians. Or even a concentration on a region without modern borders like the many cultural influences and rich history in the horn of Africa. I feel like modern history often dedicates less than a sentence to these groups just saying "oh they were there before being colonized' or "they are in this modern state but also this one" or something else that makes it sound like it's a footnote when in reality these cultures often existed longer than modern cultures, have elaborate histories of movement and cultural development and nations rising and falling. Ya know, like I can get a book on China, Tajikistan, and Kyrgystan each with the same footnote on Uighur people or we can look at the lands they came from and inhabited over time and talk about all that's changed within that border that might not exist on any map.
