- Hellooooo beautiful people!!! Happy Monday! I just want to say THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART for all the support you've given me throughout the Daily Beats project. Your comments and support were literally the only thing keeping me going. Some days were so excruciating, I just wanted to give up. But I would go back to the older videos and re read some of the comments and it always fired me up and got me back into the zone! Also, I want to thank EVERYONE IN THE BEATBOX HOUSE for helping me through this process. I would have given up right away if it wasn't for you guys. Every time I was stuck in a creative rut, you guys were right there to dig me out. I also, want to thank my neighbors downstairs for being such good sports about the noise! Oh, 2014, what a year, randomly explored Gene on BTV with his Animals routine, then his SBX appearance with Brain routine, after that I felt like this guy is gonna be something big. And then autumn, bang, this absolutely mindblowing wildcard that has changed the beatbox history. Missing old times

When in 2015 the beatbox didn't have that much of "musicality" he showed us a different style, something that fits him so well! Much respect! I want you to be sure that you'll ever be a legend when it comes about *beatboxing,* the new generations can learn amazing stuff from you.

This is still incredible in it's own way, This piece is focussed on the beatboxing side of things. Today though, you don't "just" beatbox, you make music, in which beatboxing is part of it - and I freaking love it! For me you've always been a musician and not "just" a beatboxer, which I mean as positive as possible! Love you Gene, do your thing. Whatever it is.
I totally disagree. Beatbox is music which you make up with your own beatboxing

Gene was the first to beatbox like this , hes def a rockstar of beatbox. I remember the melody was so different from what alem, reeps and stuff were doing .. maybe babeli was as melodic too but this was combo'd with the modern click drops at the time which was popular in clubs ... nobody clubs now in covid tho

Ok story time
2015 was a time where I feel lost in life, being unable to one up myself without being a miserable failure. I saw this wildcard during my break in school while eating a sandwich. I was so in awe about how well-composed this routine was, and made me burned some interest inside me to try out beatboxing. Here I am today, 7 years beatboxing, and that passion never died down. This routine was that little snowball that got bigger as I saw how beautiful it was to play and make music with only the mouth. Mr. Shinozaki, you just don't know how I got through my life from doubting myself into being able to express myself in pretty much everything, thanks for showing me how colorful it is to be myself, and inspire people like the former me to believe in their capabilities.
I wish you more blessings in you and your crew's artistic careers, and never stop making people happy while listening to your stuff.

just a lil story about this video haha.. when the first time i knew and watched beatboxing, i was like "wow, that's cool", only that.. but after watching this video back to 2016-2017, it inspired me so much and i started beatboxing 🙌.. thankyou gene for being such an inspiration!
