Honestly it doesn't matter, use whatever as long as it gets mixed well. I use a metal whisk but I bet if they had a milk frother in the past they would've used that too.

ceremonial matcha is the best but expensive so I recommend to buy culinary grade but the powder color should not be too yellow or it will taste harsh and bitter

I bought different matcha today it was matcha and had mushroom in it! Nutura super latte one 🤮🤢 wasn’t anything at all like the bright pea green colour that my ceremonial matcha is like yes tin was tiny could drink (CM ) I could drink every day with a shot of vanilla 🍵
3 tsp of condence milk
1 tsp brown sugar
1 tsp matcha powder
60-100 ml water
Mix together then milk
Really, it’s much nicer to get used to the pure taste of unsweetened matcha - you get to love it and don’t go back to sweetened 🙂💚.

Small note on the side: when you consume green tea cold and add milk, the beneficial substances in green tea lose their bioavailability.
So have pure warm green tea once a day as well 🤗
This is true, but it’s mainly the regular dairy milk that does this. For those who really wants to add milk to their matcha, use a plant-based milk instead. I recommend using oatmilk, it’s the best matcha combo I’ve tried so far.

Just a note: it is recommended to use plant-based milk with the matcha. Cow's milk prevents the body from absorbing the nutrients in the matcha. I usually use almond milk.

pouring it into the cup destroys the whole fucking purpose of the big chawan cup. Firstly, it is made of ceramic in order to retain the heat. Whisking it creates foam, which changes the texture and taste of the matcha. Pouring it into milk and ice is like shitting in the face of japanese tradition. I mean, if you like it with milk, just whisk directly in the cup. Everything else is pretentious shit
