Here is my summary of the downfall of the camp (from keeping my tent up until the end with this group). University student holidays started and "Socialist Alternative" (SAlt) wanted to disband and come back next semester because they no longer had many students to recruit, they tried to get a deal with the uni but it was a bad deal. They said they wouldn't try and disband if the deal was bad so they refused to accept it, but then SAlt tried to disband the camp anyways. Some people left but most stayed. About a few weeks later, the university "threatened" us with the threat of a threat, nothing new, just an official statement that IF we are asked to move we must. this was sensationalised (internal sabotage?) online within the activists various social medias and most people, unfortuneatley fell for it and, came and packed up their tents immediately. Except these muslim students and a couple of other tents (like mine). We managed to call their bluff but.. The camp was essentially defeated, we destroyed ourselves without a deal but a few of us stayed. We were clearly too small to continue the camp so SUMSA tried to get a deal before leaving and actually managed to get a much better deal than what was offered to the activists earlier. Basically we either had to accept this or accept nothing. But they turned our defeat into a win, making the protest not a waste of time. You can view SUMSASYDNEY on instagram to see more details. The other things they don't mention is that they helped connect the camp to communities that would bring us lots of great food and supplies. Also many go home at night but these boys would always stay the night to make sure it was always populated...much better than me hahah. They were also some of the sweetest people there.
Tldr: we tried to get a deal it sucked. the university dropped leaflets on the camp so all the whites evacuated but the arab students stayed and managed to negotiate a better deal before being forced to leave. (Uni really wanted to get rid of them before the next semester started). Now the uni has cracked down on campus activism.
Everyone please do whatever you can to help. No matter how small you think it is. Every little bit helps. Donate, protest, write, email and call elected officials, educate people , make dua, amplify palestinian voices or any messages. The Palestinians have asked us ton raise their voices. So please dont stop speaking up😢
I'm a Jewish student at USYD and I just want to say that it was really interesting watching this video. While I definitely have a lot of disagreements, it was important to me to listen to the other side. I was surprised to find that I related to a lot of the experiences mentioned here, not knowing if my family was ok in the region, feeling intimidated on campus etc. Obviously we're on the different sides of things, but this was really insightful and I hope that one day we can all feel safe to be on campus. Would be keen to chat about our experiences further :)

And fear Allah that you may receive mercy (49:10)." Fundamental Islamic society motto is the believers are nothing else than brethren.
There is an encampment on my university and my parents wont allow me to join it during night for obvious reasons. But also our encampment is organized by non muslims and there is a lot of haram things that happen aside from protesting etc so it wasn’t and isnt a very halal environment but I try to attend it and stay away from free mixing & music etc?

اللهم سخر لنا من عبادك الصادقين المصلحين من يكونوا عوناً لنا في طريقنا ندائي إلي كل مسلم قال عزوجل (قُلْ إِنَّ رَبِّي يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ وَيَقْدِرُ لَهُ وَمَا أَنْفَقْتُمْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ فَهُوَ يُخْلِفُهُ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ الرَّازِقِينَ) وقال النبى ﷺ(ما نقص مال من صدقة ) رواه مسلم وقال ﷺ ( أنفق يابن آدم ينفق الله عليك) متفق عليه وقال ﷺ:( مَا مِنْ يَوْمٍ يُصبِحُ العِبادُفِيهِ إِلَّا مَلَكَانِ يَنْزِلانِ، فَيَقُولُ أَحَدُهُمَا: اللَّهُمَّ أَعْطِ مُنْفِقًا خَلَفًا، وَيَقُولُ الآخَرُ: اللَّهُمَّ أَعْطِ مُمْسِكًا تَلَفًا سِالُتتكِ بّالُلُُه 💔الُجْلُيَلُ الُجْبّارَ انَ تْنَقًذَنَا قًبّلُ انَ نَمٌوَتْ مٌنَ شِدِتْ الُجْوَع انَتٌْخيَكِ انَيَ دٌِخلُةِ ْعلُى الُلُُه تْمٌ ْعلُيَكِ انَيَ فَيَ وَجُْهك انَـيَ اخـتْكِ انَـيَ اتْرَجْـاكِ اتْـوَسِـلُ الُـيَـكِ انَـقًـذَنَا لُـوَجُْـه الُـلُُـه. يَــشِــُهدِ الُــلُــُه يَاٌخـيَ انَ مٌنَ الُــصّــبّاحُ حُـتْا الُـانَ يَــحُــرَمٌ ْعـــلُيَـنَـا الاكل غير الماء ( ('''''''''''''''' اخي اول كلامي انا اقسم بالله على كتاب الله اني لااكذب عليك ولا انصب ولا احتال اني بنت يمنيه نازحين منالحرب انا واسرتي بيتنا اجار الشهرب 20 الف يمني والان علينا 60 الف حق 3 شهور وصاحب البيت من الناس الي ماترحم والله يا اخي انه يجي كل يوم يبهدلنا ويتكلم علينا ويريد من البيت للشارع لانناماقدرنا ندفعله الأجار شافونا الجيران نبكي ورجعو تكلمو الجيران ومهلنالاخره الأسبوع معادفعنا له حلف يمين بالله هذا بيخرجنا إلى الشارع رحمه واحنا. بلادنا بسبب هذا الحرب ولانجد قوت يومنا وعايشين اناوامي واخواتي سفار والدنا متوفي الله يرحمه ومامعنا أحد في هذا الدنيا جاانبنا في هذه الظروف القاسيه اخوتي الصغار خرجو للشارع وشافو الجيران ياكلو واوقفو عند بابهم لجل يعطوهم ولو كسره خبز والله الذي له ملك السموات والارض انهم غلفو الباب وطردوهم ورجعو یبکو ایموتو من الجوع ما احد رحمهم وعطلة ردها لقمت عیش والان لوما احدنا ساعدنا في إيكيلو دقيق اقسم بالله انموت من الجوع فيا اخي انا دخيله على الله ثم عليك واريد منك المساعده لوجه الله انشدك بالله تحب الخير واتساعدني ولو ---بـــحق إيجار البيت مع تراسلي واتساب على هذا الرقم 00967717354582 وتطلب اسم بطاقتي وترسلي ولاتتاخر وايعوضك الله بكل خير اخواني سغار شوف كيف حالتهم وساعدنا وأنقذنا قبل أن يطردونا في الشارع تتبهدل أو نموت من الجوع وانا واسرتي نسالك بالله لولك مقدره على مساعد لاتتاخر علينا وجزاك الله خيرا،-.@.،@:^@:؛>»≋𝖊≋𝖊≋𝖊≋𝖊≋]]]]]،؛:":،؛:":]]]]]،؛:":،؛:":]]]]]،؛:":؛:":"]]]]]،؛:":،؛:":]]]]]؛:"؛:،؛:": .........😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
