What an absolute Academic review from John Edathattil. I would like to see more reviews like this for many other movies from John Edathattil. I am looking forward to attending his screenwriting lecture in Kochi.

The film is a hit.Appreciate it.And am from a critics view point only. The thread is good .The screenplay cannot be admitted as a strong one.A little more research and care would have made this much stronger emotional .People are asking some important questions like how those policemen are intoxicated with the hallucinating drug .And much care could be given in casting according to my opinion .And its so embarrassing when humor is unnecessarily brought to a serious scenario .
With all due respect and appreciation to the director this is my humble review .Thank you

Deep essence of life in the society being manipulated by the so called empires and revenged. My interest is in the writer who is capable of understanding the importance of the incident and bringing it forth to the society in a comfortable manner

I thought this movie gave the entire malayalam cinema world a new benchmark in all genres. To be honest the movie wasn’t perfect, but its leaps n bounds better than many psychological thrillers. My favourite character was ofcourse Unnimaya Prasad (dysp Catherine). Her sprint n her head whack was perfecto! She was definitely a risky decision Midhun took, Unnimaya never having done such roles, but absolutely worth it. My views:
1: If I directed the movie my clue on the sculpture wouldv been in the face. The sculpture would be subtly similar looking to either Catherine or Rebecca.
    2. Rebecca shouldv turned out to be the dysp Catherine. Kinda Cliche, but the mallu audience wouldv loved a good delivery
    3. The Whiz kid hacker was a typical hollywood move, but cant think of any one other than Bhasi to do justice to it.
    4. English Pronunciation in malayalam cinema still needs improving, but getting better i think.

Sir...I have doubt regarding killer..what if the killer is played by some unknown actor like killer in movie forensic..is there any emotional changes in auditions reaction..becoz killer is not shown till then..so is actor image helped to empathize with killer..

Hi Sir, you are too polite sir. There are quite a lot of flaws in the movie, a good attempt though. Specially in thrillers, if there are plot holes, that would show like craters unlike the so called commercial fare where no one seems to care for logic. Once they set it up as a murder mystery especially in Malayalam which has a rich history for investigative thrillers as a major genre, seems like the makers had some interesting ideas (the back story) and hastily tried to tie it all up without much detailing or logic (the forced elements as you have explained). The majority of the police force seems to be clueless except for the protagonist. Also the most important factor about a serial killer displaying his victims and toying with the police force is quite amusing as later in the climatic inquiry sequence the killer says he is not looking for publicity and his vengeance is purely personal and private. The killer is so smart that he could have easily knocked off all of his victims and left the country. The dialogues were really bad added with some below average to bad acting in some places. Its not as bad as psycho the tamil movie released recently. Maybe my problem is that I'm a huge fan of thriller/mystery genre and the benchmarks set by those classics train one to be highly critical about every film which falls short.
