- We are pleased to announce the release of Part 1 of a potential documentary series covering the life and story of Fred Mastro and his contribution to the world of Martial Arts. Fred Mastro has years of experience as a street fighter, bouncer, private security for Jean Claude Van Damme, choreographer and creator of the Mastro Defence System.. Fred is an amazing teacher, Innovator and source of inspiration to many. To the world of martial arts, it is our honor to bring this documentary series to you all and for others to learn about the Contribution MDS is making to the world of Martial Arts and Self Defense.

Fred Mastro is a fantastic example of what every Traditional teacher of Martial Arts trains his students to become, more advanced than his teacher, representing all Martial Arts in there true form, Respect, Honer first with the ability to finish a bad situation. I didn't see him since the end of the eighties in dampremy our neighborhood, he was a good looking boy with long hair à quiet and calm boy but never a fighter, we where the fighter the bad kid's in the neighborhood we ended in jail and wen i was out a fren sey to me that his mother took him away from us thinking he would end bad.

Fred, your technique is perfect for the streets. But it all depends on surprise moments. The first move has to do the damage, and that's totally against our natural programming. You also should teach on how to overwrite instinctive behaviour. ( I served in Bosnia, learned it the hard way.)
