  • There's a saying in Vietnam about the Nghe An province: "Chó ăn đá, gà ăn sỏi."
    It means "the dogs eat rocks, the chickens eat pebbles".
    It's a hot, tough place to live, and is also Vietnam's hub for the trade in human cargo.
    When 39 Vietnamese were found dead in a lorry in Essex four years ago, the majority had left from Nghe An.

    I understand why the Vietnamese are migrating to UK. Still it’s sad that gangs are exploiting the them for so much money. Shame on the smugglers!

    Why the UK though? So many other countries they could go to better suited to them in terms of language, religion, lifestyle etc. Their new life is crippling the UK and its just BS that they cant find a better solution to debt in their own country.

      It's because many vietnamese are living legally in the UK that lives a better life in the old days and they have no idea whats the current state of the UK economy. What's worse is English is the only language vietnamese are familiar with and of course the British Pounds can feed and save their families from debt.
      For example 3£ is 100,000 or 97,000vnd which is enough to buy groceries that can feed a family for 1 day with fresh, vegetables, meat, snacks and spices. Mind you, 100,000; 200,000 and 500,000vnd bill for Vietnamese is alot of money, like 50 and 100£ for the British. The differences is that the British Pound worth more

      result of propaganda: UK is heaven. UK is paradise.
      Something like that.

      @yevonsama I think it's not propaganda mate. It's pretty much the same in the US when the older generation saying that America and the UK is a paradise and the Promise Land because back then it was true. There's alot of work but no employee. But these uneducated people don't know the current economic state in the 2 countries where there's less job and more people, while those who are educated are well aware of the situation and decided to stay in the country

    Most people are fooled in Nghe An, the citizens in this city are notorious for migrating abroad for a better future! Hope that the perception would be changed cause there are many opportunities for ppl with duch amounts of money to be rich in their own countries 😂

    Show the police who those trafficers are . Don't work to pay them for your dead relative . That's apsurd.

    • @You-tw4zs
      @You-tw4zs Před 8 měsíci

      What choice do they have? Sadly they have to rely on the services of the traffickers to get into the UK. How do you know they won't take it out on the man in the video for bringing along a journalist? That could quite literally get the Vietnamese man or his family killed.

    • @beewa8840
      @beewa8840 Před 8 měsíci +3

      It probably is absurd. But not paying could result in more dead relatives.

      I know of a few cases of Vietnamese people in the UK trading bitcoin with illegal immigrants. They will receive cash and transfer bitcoin to Vietnam. These bit coins will be bought back in the Vietnamese market and converted into Vietnamese currency.

    Weakness of UK Gov to deal with this matter. How are the police not raiding these nail bars-? These nail bars are everywhere! People come here illegally bcz they know there are ZERO consequences. Japan, Singapore, South Korea and China are all wealthy countries they could move to closer than the UK- but they dont bcz they know the UK is soft touch! I am assuming they don't pay income/council tax? - and so what benefit are they to our country?

      I understand this very well and I’m very sorry you guys have to go through this like before my family is Vietnamese as well that escaped from communism and it happened all over again. When would Vietnam give up on socialist communism, south Vietnam economy was very good when the country was separated and it was doing well with our lives until the communism took the country back and my family fled.

    The Vietnamese have not restrained their fertility and are suffering poverty as a result. It is NOT reasonable for them to expect another country to provide for their excessive numbers of offspring.

    • @aqua_weed_raiser
      @aqua_weed_raiser Před 4 měsíci +4

      In contrast, fertility has drop down significantly in Vietnam. Many young people, like me, prefer not having children anymore. Despite the news report, these people is just very small percentage of the population are doing so. I prefer more legal way, go aboard for work, then come back after few years.
