Jimmie is a pioneer a legend.
Didn't realize how wealthy Jimmy Walker is. The man never left NBC after good times. He even started David Lettermen's career with the Morning Show which would eventually become the Late Night show.
Jimmie Walker is one of the coolest comedians ever to exist. I especially liked when he was known as J.J. Evans on the hit CBS sitcom "Good Times".
@Otto8845 Never heard of that show.
/end sarcasm
JJ... Jimmy, I've adored you ever since I was a young one. Grew up with ya in Chicago, Baby, One LOVE! Many Blessings'!
JW is a legend. That Adam Ray guy is "skip over" material.
JJ, you still got it, man. I've laughed at your comedy for decades. Stay well, from northwest Alabama.
Yesss kids voice, wife voice😂😂
DYNAMITE BABY!
Mark was amazing. Great believable delivery. Especially for first tv appearance!
Been watching Good Times reruns. Thought I’d check out Jimmy Walkers stand up :-)
JJ timing is on point though
Jimmy in his younger days was the coolest party guy in the 70s from what I heard, white girls, Asians, black women all over him around that time, he’s a comedian yes
Jimmy Walker is a naturally funny guy, 🤣
Adam is great!

Serritella was good
Also why is there always some geriatric sounding lady laughing in the audience about to die

You wish you had the morals of Phil Robertson
That’s a fact, corny ass duck dynasty is on but execs have a problem putting black people as lead characters on a sci-fi
The tv joke was done by Steve Harvey years ago
Terrible.
In the '80s I saw countless comedy acts in San Francisco at The Punchline, Holy City Zoo, Cobbs, The Other Cafe, and (only once) the Purple Onion, and probably a dozen other Bay Area venues that closed down. My old college roommate and I went out nearly every week, 'cause he was hooked up with tickets from the college AV department where he worked. I'm saying this to establish my bona fides- I've seen a lot of great, meh, and terrible acts. I used to love standup, and I liked Walker's show as a kid. So it was, sad to say, a great disappointment to see his act when he came to California pre-COVID in 2018. It had to rank as one of the worst performances I've ever seen. 1) His opening act (that traveled with him) was some sweaty middle-aged guy telling cocaine jokes I'd heard in the '80s. 2) Walker came on stage and did the routine you see here- this is an amusing take on TV, but one I and every other late Boomer have done ourselves-not an ounce of originality 3) this was followed by jokes about black people's names, like "next they'll be naming their kids, ladies and gentlemen, after bottled water...like Aquafina!" apparently unaware of the Asian comedienne who's been using that name since the mid-200s. Some comics like Chappelle, Rock, or Rickles got better with age, honing their craft, material and delivery as they got older. He seems content to recycle the same crap. Comedy's built on surprise; it has to be varied in delivery and more importantly, material, to stay, well funny. it isn't music where repetition breeds appreciation, and you can't play your one #1 hit and still get the crowd roaring. It's why I stopped paying to see Bobby Slayton. His show was just...pitiful, and we would have left if we could have done so without causing a scene.
Lmao.I know this is comedy, but did she try to turn stolen valor into a joke lolol?
Always the same lady laugh… how the paying her on every show? 😂😂😂
Never heard of this host.
Now I know why..yell yell yell...but lame recycled content.
More people coming up? I hope so "JJ", 'cuz you certainly didn't knock my socks off with your lame opening routine!
Unfortunately JJ wasn't even slightly funny, anyone can complain about tv programming. Bernadette was just as bad if not worse 😒
