I think you have to factor in both games when you pick the team. Assuming we win the first, the second game will be the backlash game. So that game will be the harder one to win. Second thing is people forget that it was Mannie at 10 when we played at Twickenham. So happy with your front row. Second row should be nortje in the first match and Nicolaas in the second game. That gives him more time to get on board with the Tony Brown attack, which will be essential. Rest of your pack I agree with. At 9 Williams should start with Reinach for 2nd game. Hendriks should be on the bench for game 1. Williams bench for game 2. At 10 start Mannie with SFM on the bench. Wings agree with you. Centres DD and Kriel. Full back Le Roux. Bench agree with you cept for 9 and 10. 2nd match we need the pressure cooker slow squeeze game so then it's as many caps as we can field. Expect first game to be as fast a start as AB's can manage. We need to be switched on from the whistle and match them for first 20 mins to take the momentum away from them. Ideally, do a Twickenham on them. Get out in front and make them chase.
I can't question your thought process and logic but I don't see Nicolaas or Jaden starting. As for Sacha, would have him on the bench with Pollard at 10. Face the haka, soak it all in. Take a seat, then come cook in the final 20. Would be surprised to see Kitshoff in the mix. He was still a bit cold during the CC game vs the Lions. Depends on how he trained but I might go Steenekamp.

Montpellier is stacked with locks so they’ve been using him like Mostert when he plays 7. That doesn’t necessarily mean he isn’t a strong lineout option. Out of curiosity does Mostert take as much lineout ball when he plays flank compared to when he plays lock? You would assume not.
I don’t think SFM will start, particularly in the first game. Like against Ireland, he’ll be a utility back on the bench. He is a sensational player, and will make an impact off the bench, but I think Rassie is going to want Captain BMT running the backline. The AB game is going to rely on tactical kicking to get past our rush defence and Rassie is going to want the tactical awareness that Pollard delivers. I think it’ll be a 6-2, SFM and Williams on the bench. Probably Ox, Bongi and Malherbe on first to monster the opposing pack, then Eben and Nortje; Siya, PSDT and Wiese. Backline is Reinach, Pollard, de Allende, Kriel, Kolbe, Arendse, and le Roux. The bench will probably be the other front row, Spicy Plum, Marx and Koch, then RG, Kwagga and van Staden.

Goalkicking is the only real concern but a try is still worth more than a penalty. For me Sacha plays every game. He didn't have a shocker! He couldn't adjust 2 the conditions and England subdued running rugby. Just like they subdued us in the 2019 semi-final. If he buckled, he would've missed that opening penalty against the English. That weather fit Pollard and his style, playing in the Premiership. Ox gave him those two crucial penalties which he converted.
No way can Jaden be selected above Grant Williams or Kobus Reinach. He is simply too slow both in his passing and lacks pace on attack. Fassi and Sacha should start with a 6 - 2 split with Reinach and Pollard the only two backs on the bench. Fassi will pose a much greater threat to the AB's than Willie. I agree that Janse van Rensburg starts above Ruan Nortje he is both bigger, stronger and a better in the lineouts than Ruan. I agree with the rest of the player selections with the exception of Thomas Du Toit on the bench in place of Kitshoff who is not yet match fit after his long injury and was not in form for Ulster this year.
