There are very few things Jr NTR can't do 😀. He is perfect at everything. Acting , dancing , speaking 8 - 9 languages with perfect diction and many more a true all-rounder. His speaking skills in different language reflects the polyglot inside him. Watch his previous speeches in other languages too . One of the best orators in India ♥️.

@@anjalym92 it's sounds like you have never been abroad and spoken English. No one in the world understands the indian accent and I think it's good that they tried to speak in a different accent NOT fake soothe don't get misunderstood and that what Indians need to understand
The harm is that it is not an acquired accent. But a fake accent. It propagates colonial mindset that we need to act and talk like these westerners instead of being our authentic self.
NTR's full name is Nandhamuri(Sur name) Taraka Rama Rao. The reason why he is called Jr. NTR is because he has got his name from his grandfather's name. NTR is the person who acted as Lord Krishna in Mayabazzar movie which you guys watched and liked it a lot. In fact Jr. NTR resembles NTR(his grandfather).

Great reactions as always! Just fyi, the Variety interview is one of the most candid and unshackled interviews by the two stars. A humbling aspect of Junior NTR's dedication and commitment is that he lost his Dad (also from the movie industry and also politics) in 2018, literally a couple of months prior to filming for RRR - something he does not mention in his interviews.
His elder brother too in a car crash as well a few years back. Same road Tarak had his accident on too I think.

To all my condescending Indian brothers and sisters who are trolling NTR's accent
NTR has a lot of family and relatives in the US, he goes there often for a holiday. He's picked up the accent there
Americans live in a bubble with very little exposure to other languages and culture. They find it hard to grasp other accents because of this. It's very common for Americans to say, 'what...what...what... I didn't get you', when you speak in any other accent because the way they speak is unique. It's not just about rolling your Rs (storrrry) and tapping your T's (liddle for little and wader for water), it's also about inflection (word and syllable stress).
You don't get that right they will find it hard to understand you. I know because I worked in a American call center, I remember one customer just couldn't understand the word 'data'. We kept saying data data data. They kept saying 'what... what... what...' The moment we said day-da they got it
That's why he's using the accent. Guys, our movie and our cast and crew are getting a lot of global attention and all some of us Indians want to do is troll them. Classic crab mentality. Please guys let's encourage and uplift each other

That's not true..I live abroad and work with people who speak different accent..indians have one tone,Chinese has other,blacks has another..nobody will force you to speak in their accent..And here if NTR was talking naturally in American accent,it's fine..but he is forcing and trying too hard..his English is pretty natural and indianised in indian english interviews and he is faking it in us interviews.. Rajamouli and is infact charan spoke in their indian accents and all those English interviewees and journalists understood it quite easily..so that argument is pretty lame that whites can not understand our English

@@anjalym92 to reiterate, he's got lot of NRI relatives, he visits the US for holidays more often than other stars. He's picked the accent there in his numerous visits to America. It's very common for people to switch their accents based on whom they are speaking with. Any call center worker will tell you that.
Let's for an instance accept your condescending remark that my argument is lame. Let's assume he's faking his accent. What difference does it make. How does it matter how someone chooses to speak. It's just the content that's important. May be he got overwhelmed by the entire euphoria and attention and started to speak with an accent. How does it matter. An Indian movie is getting global recognition and attention and all we Indians can think of is to troll the movie, the director and the actors based on something as ludicrous as an accent. How toxic we have become as people. We can't seem to look past our bias, hate and jealousy

It’s very irritating to hear..btw Americans can easily identify a fake accent..so they might be just being polite to u..and making fun behind ur back..also,there are 100s of accents in usa including the southern accent which is very different from the normal American accent but nobody tries to put a fake one..and ppl can understand each other’s accents very easily..just watch how many accents they have in marvel movies..
I think both the actors should also be credited and applauded for their fluent languages , they are probably the first ones who have dubbed it in the four languages and getting the nusances dialogues right ( esp Hindi, coz accent does come and people do react and tease a lot but they were too good)

I'm a big fan of accent modulation. I practice it too. The Indians who are complaining about this simply are not aware of how english works in a transcontinental fashion.
The variety did great job ,rrr promotional interviews are crazy in India especially in Telugu,i want to recommend you but i couldn't coz no sub titles are given but the shows are very enjoyable there is a particular show called "memes special"(memes about rrr movie) that was very special to fans and very intresting and full of joy,am sad that I can't recommend it
