Resaca Civil War Battlefield/남북전쟁 재현행사

Resaca Civil War는 1864년 5월 13~15일에 있었던 치열한 전쟁을 재현한 행사에 다녀왔습니다.
미국에는 여러 군데에서 남북전쟁을 재현하는 행사를 하는데요~ Resaca라는 동네는 애틀랜타에서 비교적 가장 가까운 곳으로 해마다 5월 3번째 주에 행사를 합니다.
그 시대의 복장과 생활로 지원자와 그 가족들이 월요일부터 행사하고 매일 전쟁도 재현해 보다가 금요일에는 학생들 단체 관람을 받고, 일반인에게는 토요일과 주일에 오픈합니다.
Resaca 전쟁에서는 승패를 나누지는 않았지만, 북군 4000명, 남군 7000명 정도가 사망한 큰 전투였으며, 남군이 북진을 막아냈지만, 피해는 더 컸기에 승패를 좌우하지 않았다고 합니다.
워낙 남군이 크게 버텼던 터라, 북군은 더 큰 피해를 줄이기 위해 양쪽 도시들을 치며 진군했다고 전해집니다.
The Resaca Civil War went to an event that recreated the fierce war that took place on May 13-15, 1864.
There are many places in the United States that hold events to reenact the Civil War. The town called Resaca, which is relatively close to Atlanta, holds the event every year in the third week of May.
Applicants and their families wear the costumes and lifestyles of that era and reenact the war every day starting on Monday. On Fridays, student groups are allowed to tour, and it is open to the general public on Saturdays and Sundays.
Although there was no difference in victory or defeat in the Resaca War, it was a major battle in which about 4,000 Northern troops and 7,000 Southern troops died, and although the Southern troops blocked the northern advance, it is said that it did not determine victory or defeat because the damage was greater.
It is said that the Confederate army held out so well that the Northern army marched against cities on both sides to reduce further damage.
