Eric Church held nothing back when admitting that what he and his team did to Rascal Flatts infuriated them. Eric Church may have pulled off one of the biggest trolls in Country music history!

He signed a contract. Made a commitment to open for the band, then changed his mind. At the time The Flatts were massive in the music industry. They've offered huge exposure to many opening acts who've gone on to big things. In addition, they donated $millions to Vanderbilt Medical and other charitable orgs and remain active in their community. You don't need to like the Flatts, but you do need to respect them.
Vanderbilt Medical is more corrupt than the music industry is. Maybe they should've just donated instruments to needy kids or started their own (legitimate) charity.

Major Eric Church fan BUT we all have rules to follow when we work for someone. It’s basic respect. If his salary had been affected by the extra fees, then maybe he would have been able to understand.
That and the fact that, I don't know where the narrator gets his info from but this DID NOT work in Church's favor. He's got what? ONE real hit song, that's bloody pitiful. The guy can't sing for ish.

I also understand the comments below that he was in the wrong...I agree with those comments, he was in the wrong and he deserved to get fired but oh well. Great he stood up for his beliefs and antagonized Rascall Flatts, and i'd say it all worked out well! Kudos Eric! Rascall flats could have very easily deducted the overage fines from his comp...a well thought out contract and a sharp R.Flatts manager could have handled that. But I'm glad Eric did what he did, LOVE his music and his spirit.

I love Rascal Flatts and Eric Church. But thus far in my 42 years of life hold Eric's concert a few years ago as the worst show I've ever been to. The instruments were way too loud and you couldn't hear his voice. Worst 120 bucks spent in a long time

I'm a fan of Eric but nobody takes the place of Rascal Flatts as a group or individually . Pretty sure people will remember the name Rascal Flatts 50 years from now, and their songs. Been a fan of Eric Church since he was lead in the house band at our local country bar outside Atlanta. Always knew he was going to make it big. He plays for the crowd…period. RF was the boy band of country, great harmonies, but not truly country. Eric is the real deal. Keep the great music coming!
His nasty attitude caught up to him at CMA 2023! He got booed off stage because the crowd couldn’t stand his new music and were leaving while he was performing. So he pouted and ran back stage. Meanwhile Taylor Swift has a pennical award (only 4 given in music history)

I Hate it That was a good band from Ohio rascal And I Love me some Eric church He has one bad a** Living in Ohio I got to know these dudes they were pretty awesome then I moved to South Carolina After around around the ground Air Force And went to see the group again Just to say hello and they remembered of course they can't Forget an angel dooby They sure didn't for when I showed up on their bus delivering cake after one of their concerts to reward them with liquor and cake from the control venue that I was working at I was the bartender Needless to say I've met Eric church as well what a gentleman and a great But for them to pick out Taylor over anybody else she makes me sick to my stomach But that's OK I'll keep the albums because they're worth money Autographed By all including Eric church I love you Eric But since the band broke up And on their own ways it's no wonder everybody was trying to be a boss over everybody else

To the people saying that Eric should have honored his contract...What you're missing is that he was BETTER than Rascal Flatts and the audience knew it. They didn't want him to stop playing. I saw it with my own two eyes. In fact, I barely knew who Eric was before the show, he had one song out, and I was a big Flatts fan. But after I left that concert, I started listening to Church non-stop and haven't listened to Rascal Flatts since. (Are they even still together? I honestly don't know.) IDC if he broke his contract, he was just giving the audience what they wanted. (They probably felt the same way when Taylor Swift took over for him. If Rascal Flatts didn't want this to happen, maybe don't book opening acts that put on a better show than you. 🤷♀)
