Thanks for the tip on finding the ground walnut shells at the pet store, much cheaper! I love the milk glass as a tool holder. I must keep an eye out for that style in my thrifting adventures.😁

I have this dish, it took me forever to find one, and already have some of my scissors in them. Today I get your email and well now I need to do this. THANK YOU.

Sweet little project for the future! I've ordered from Amanda b4. Funny to hear her name in a different context!

Using the tights to contain the shells is genius :)

I also have been saving one of those milk glass bowls. Thanks for this great tutorial. Heading into the kitchen now to see what else I can find to turn into a pincushion.

Hi Belle, I have one of those milk glass bowls I picked up from a thrift store a long time ago. Always wondered what I could do with it. Now I know. Thanks for your tutorial. Love it! I live close to the ocean so rust is a real big problem for my pins. I discovered, by stuffing my pincushions with scrap wool batting, my pins won't rust. I think it's the lanolin in the wool that coats the metal and keeps them from rusting. Let me know if you'd like some scrap wool batting to play around with for your next pincushions. Since I'm a longarm quilter, I am swimming in scrap wool batting. HUGS!

Hi fellow curly Girl 👋🏻 So glad you already have the milk glass to make one and that you love the tutorial 🧡. I had no ideas about ‘ocean rust’ on pins! Wow! Would love to give the wool a try! I’m always up for trying something new 😃.
