Sorry for the scuffed audio. For some reason its better on twitch. I don't have the hardware to fix this. streamed live- / adamjoee Armory- live.projectdiablo2.com/chara...
In hc I recommend to necros to go 1000-1200 life after bo then dump energy. You are correct about the bone armor/pdr% interaction. Pdr% only applies to damage taken to your health. This means you are effectively immune to amp damage also. Bone armor OP!
Nice build, is the 4% charms really worth it over skillers, doesn't the synergies for teeth add up massively with the skills in comparingson ? It says 24% magic damage per level from armor/spear/spirit x 9 (648%), seems like a lot more than the 18 x 4%(72%) I haven't been playing the past 2 seasons, so I might be wrong on something
Maybe for this precise build but 4% large are way better in terms of damage. Every teeth necro at the top of the ladder had these 4% magic charm last season and I had them on my nec too. The dmg multiplier is just huge .
Hey, good question. The skillers are additive, and don't actually contribute to synergies in diablo 2. Synergies only scale the build via hard points, not soft points in them like + skills. Skillers essentially give +1 teeth per charm. The Large charms give % Mastery, like a sorceress having fire Mastery. One Large Charm is worth 78% of a skiller. That being said, dropping the small charm slot for double LC's gives you a full skillers damage and an extra 56%. Using charms gives you the damage of 9 skillers + an extra 4 and a half skillers worth of damage. Generally, LC's give you more damage if you have higher + skills without GCs. Since boneshade gives 7 teeth, you naturally just have more skills than a normal build which makes the LC's just better.
Yeah, I probably could. I'll be honest, I'm not very knowledgeable on this, but I've never been one to care about defense. Not sure if it even matters in pd2. For this build, it definitely doesn't. I don't think Bone Armor calculates your defense. My character never gets put in FHR or block frame when I get hit with phys.
HC Viable yes, I would do a more even split of Vita and Energy. Just a few more life points so you can avoid blood mana curse entirely and have more ele mitigation for dual ele enchant and stuff like that. Maybe swap to a different merc (a2 doom for example) for a bit more survivability and less tele stomp gameplay.
Bone wall? for tanking mobs, maybe. But its shit, causes you to stop fighting and put up that silly wall, probably not worth it. I don't even know why you'd consider bone wall.

I’ve also noticed that I don’t ever get put in FHR while bone armor is up. Bone armor is indeed op
