Technically speaking, this video is a later-tube or whatever you would call it. The Carnival Elation went into dry-dock on January 21st, 2023 and the Production show "DIVAS" went dark on January 19th. Having said that, this is a story that I've been wanting to share for almost an entire year now, but I have been SO far behind on editing, that I'm just now finally putting this video out!
Stephanie and I got to see all of the shows on the Carnival Elation so many times, and this one was always our favorite. When the show went dark, it closed for the foreseeable future. It may come back, it may not. Which was your favorite show that you've seen on a cruise ship?
Do you prefer the production shows on any cruise line over another? Why?
I'd love to hear your throughts!

We sailed on the Elation in March 2023 right after it came back out of dry dock, the only show was Epic Rock, which was very Epic indeed! Thanks for sharing the interesting behind the scenes footage and insight!

Sometimes, depending on the length of the sailing, only some of the shows would actually happen.
Love that you found the channel! Thank you for watching!! I have a whole playlist of behind the scenes videos from our time on the Elation, in case you’d like to check that out 🎸🤘🏻

Hey! Just found your stuff and I'm super fascinated by this career path. When it comes to reading sheet music, how good at it do you have to be in order to pull this off? Thinking about auditioning but wanna know if I'm even ready to do that yet.

Hey there! It’s a great gig!
There are different jobs within the musicians department. If you apply to be a musician in the pit for the production shows, then you’ll need to be a VERY strong reader. However, if you just want to sing and play some songs in the lounges, then your repertoire is up to you and you will not be required to read anything ever.
If you can read and want to use that skill, there’s a job for you! If you haven’t mastered reading yet, but you’re still a great musician, there’s a job for you, too!

Man I’ve been trying to land one of these but can’t seem to get responses. Tips?

Yes, agencies. Go through an agent. They have relationships and if they are on your side. They’re able to bring you to the top of the pile of applicants.
