I showed this to my mother, who is a violist. I think this is the first time she's ever really been interested in a video game soundtrack.
Show her some ace combat pieces
Some halo music would also probably catch her attention and praise.
show her the Halo trilogy from that video games in symphony concert.
She might find a few songs from the Destiny 2 soundtrack interesting. Bungie got the Kronos Quartet onboard for some of the songs - namely, "Lost Light" and "Journey".
Video game soundtrack in general is fucking good especially stuff from Koji Kondo
I saw this comment about "kings" on someone else's upload. "Where 'Zero' is an honorable duel, 'Kings' is a knife fight." Bravo, Jose.

Ace Combat is sold on it's music, and you have not added merely a worthy contender, but a soundtrack that stands on it's own among giants. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do in the future.
I played Project Wingman before ever playing Ace Combat. It caused me to love PW's music much more than AC's.
To me, AC just doesn't have the Two Steps from Hell "epic" feeling of floating/flying that the PW music does. Kind of essential for a flying game 😂
@@deadlybladesmith3093 PW imo have more memorable music while AC have like 1 big music where everyone remember (that how i see it atleast)

I'm not saying Showdown wasn't perfect already, but it needed that violin solo. Great work!
I'm certain I'm not the only one that thinks this, but that rendition of the Presidia theme with the lead cello at 20:53 is absolutely heavenly. What's more, the vocals at 21:30 unequivocally skyrocket it to a musical status shared by pieces such as The Unsung War, Zero, Daredevil, and Megalith - Agnus Dei. With the Project Wingman soundtrack, you've truly created something that rivals Keiki Kobayashi's best work Mr. Pavli. Your talent for musical composition is something that few can hope to attain.
(Aww... Edited some grammar and it removed Jose's like on my comment...)
(It happens)
Welcome to the club of losing hearts
You are most certainly correct, it's a hard thing to rival such legendary pieces that have come out of ace combat over the years, a very well done game and soundtrack.
With a single soundtrack, he's put himself alongside not only Kobayashi, but other legends such as Mick Gordon and Marty O'Donnell, not to mention other legends that don't immediately come to my mind.
It may be that an edit removes a heart automatically such that it can't be abused, by making it look like someone "hearted" an awful thing to say for example.
It was amazing, wonderful. This is a real masterpiece. I'm so proud of Jose Pavli. He's gone so far. I sincerely wish that one day his name will be as famous as the names of Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky and other legendary composers of world history.
Thank you Mr Pavli. Your music is legendary.

The entire One Year Medley is absolutely beautiful, and that ending to Kings was legendary. I don't know how you one-up your own music but somehow you've delivered. Well bloody done, Jose!
This is unreasonably good. I've heard all these songs who knows how many times, yet this is just so much more!!
Looks like I'll be listening to this while studying for finals.
It's going to be the most epic study sesh ever.
Back when the kickstarter demo came out, I bought the soundtrack on the spot. Glad to see Project Wingman and Jose's soundtrack come this far.
I'm so happy that we get to hear Kings in full, I was under the impression we wouldn't with it being a medley and all.
I like how the medley sums up the story of the game. Starts off somber with the CIF realizing cutting off the Federation is not going to be quick and decisive, then Hitman team starts bringing the main forces back from the brink (Uphill Every Way, Sirens of Defeat, Machine of the Mantle). The Federation responds with the Peacekeepers and identifying Hitman as a major threat (Peacekeepers 1, Cold War). The desperation of the Federation with heavy retaliation for a moment (Valkyrie's Call, Open Season, Consequence of Power), but then the CIF makes the final push to liberate Presidia despite the destruction of the land.
Also shoutout to the violinist at 19:23, you nailed it and you knew it.
There's very few songs that'll make me cry, and Kings is one of them. That Medley was gorgeous, and I thank you with every fiber of my being for making this. Please, have an amazing day

The transition between Peacekeeper I and Showdown made my skin crawl. And I’m listening to it 3 times already, excellent job!
I got chills when the medley transitioned into the intro of Showdown. That build up is just incredible and so memorable.
Every single second of this was pure bliss but I gotta say that PW Leitmotif at 20:53 shot my ears 3 planes of reality above our own
100/10 I cried would HIGHLY recommend
Heh, plane
It was beautiful.
I am in awe, this is just pure beauty expressed in musical form, every last one of the notes hit me like I literally felt the G force impacting my body!
wow the "One Year Medley" really sounds like if the Endfight against Crimson got to a entire new Level... like you're not only fighting him but the Entire Enemy Federation Air Fleet at once all alone.
a Never Ending Fight for Survival.
My god. This was like the first time hearing everything all over again. Absolutely incredible, there are no words that fit.

I'm sooooo hyped for this, can't wait to hear Kings
He even has an ORANGE SHIRT for the ORANGE BOSS BATTLE
There really is no substitute for real performers playing real instruments with real vocalists. Absolutely spectacular!!!
It is a rare treat to get an orchestral soundtrack with as much life as the project wingman soundtrack. Too often do I hear an orchestra on a video game OST and it just fades into the repository of generic violins and cellos I've heard in a dozen other titles, but wingman it special.
Definitely agree ussually other work simply too flat while one still can feel the impact like in the game it self. I wonder why others can do something like this, are that because lack better recording equipment or simply just lack of live experience?
Wish it was longer, but what we got was perfection
Congratulations, you somehow managed to make kings, one of the most epic songs I’ve ever heard, and make it even more epic and powerful.
From your Mac, to an orchestra. This must feel like is not real at all. This is huge!
Jose... thank you, just thank you. Things have been pretty rough for me lately, and listening to this, everything just felt right, even for that brief moment. Peacekeeper sounded like if someone took the Star Wars Empire theme and turned it into a horror.
I really liked the mixing of sounds in the medley, like a bit of Peacekeeper inside Showdown.
Presidia had such an awe to it.
And Showdown itself was something out of a cinematic anime opening of the highest quality.
Safe to say, you won't became a great composer Jose. You already are one.
I knew Showdown was gonna drop at some point, I just didn't expect it to hit that hard. This whole soundtrack was absolutely ace as is and this medley should be all the proof needed.

A good medley walks you through all the good old memories with a even better touch.
This One Year Medley, such a beautiful way to cover up my entire PW experience. Soaring through the skies, traveling between thunder and lightning, engaging with the Crimson, and ofc creating the largest furball in history. The vocals in the leifmotif even rose it to another level, absolutely King moment.
When you cut to the clip of Monarch engaging Crimson 1 in the latter half of Kings, I felt a huge rush of adrenaline

2nd Edit: who am I kidding, I’d like to hear the whole soundtrack in its entirety like this.
You know you've done incredibly well when people enjoy performing your music. That's the best part of the video, you can see most of the performers emotionally reacting to your work. They're smiling or crying with the tone. I'm sure this was a blast to record.

Thank you!
Jose, your music is genuinely inspiring. I am very excited to see what the future brings for you.
Just a small pipe dream, but would love to see you get asked to make a track for Ace Combat 8 in the future.
But in terms of games in general, I can easily say you being attached to a project is as incredible to me as hearing Nobuo Uematsu (FF Composer), Kobayashi, or Mick Gordon being attached to a project for the music.
I know that whatever the project is, your music will make it legendary.
