It’s been said and it’s true that whenever Judy Garland was on stage working with another performer, all eyes are on Judy the whole time. No one had a greater stage presence than Garland
If you didn't see the original or maybe a rerun or two, you never saw this original performance by the master impersonator, Rich Little. We grew up in the 70's and he was a prime part of that, but this shows how ON POINT he was at the very beginning, (and if anything, he was basically unconscious when he did this.) He didn't get worse, but he really did not get any better.
What a powerful performance by Rich Little! Judy wasn’t Judy Garland the movie star she was converted back to being a kid. Her reactions are like a child being amused by a birthday party magician. No wonder Richard Little became a huge star and was seen every on tv in the 1970s and early ‘80s. He is The Godfather of celebrity voice impersonating. He gets the mannerisms, speech patterns and everything about the person so well it’s like he becomes them. Judy was shocked by his Jimmy Stewart. It was so good she felt it was Jimmy speaking through Richard. Amazing. Absolutely amazing. He’s still going strong and just as funny and entertaining as ever.
O.18 Judy garlands little laugh reminds me of the little giggle she did in wizard of oz when she is talking to professor marvel when he is cooking the sausages. I could listen to her laugh on repeat it’s so charming.
I Love Judy Garland. What a treasure
You get as much joy watching Judy's reaction as you do in Rich Little's great impersonations. Thank you for this clip.
i'm afraid when judy's on the screen i literally don't see anyone else - his voice was pretty damn good though!
This is Perfect!
So lucky to have CZcams to bring these outstanding performers back, all included with cable.
The look on her face is priceless.
He’s a very gifted impressionist and she’s a one off talent. Awesome 👍🏻
Oh my goodness..that was fabulous!! I'm a huge James Mason Fan and have never ever seen anyone impersonate him until now. Rich nailed it. ❤
She has the most adorable laugh!😂😂😂
You could put the actors on screen and have Little do all the voices and you couldn’t tell the difference. That’s how good he is. Incredible.
Just gentle,genuine,and a touch of genius.Rich Little.
That actually sounded like Jimmy Stewart, not like an impression but like they were playing a tape of Jimmy - incredible.
