Yesterday I had the 2nd once in a lifetime privilege to hear the greatest composer of our time and all time play some of his greatest works.

I love that the first half was a celebration of Williams. I really loved the montages of him throughout his career. Beautifully done. And then Williams conducting Williams is always wonderful to see. Thank you for sharing this with us.

I didnt go to this show but went to Tanglewood to see John Williams film night. Getting to see Williams conduct ET, Schindlers List, Duel of The Fates, Asteriod Field, Anakins theme, Throne Room and Finale and ending with Imperail March was amazing. Along with Febes theme from Indy 5.

Not a single person whispered this entire song. One of the few movies that’s ever made me cry
Btw I also went to John Williams 90th bday celebration. They played Schindlers list live. Speilberg had a pre recorded video play then he announced Itzhawk Perlman to preform it live. It was amazing to see the man himself preform it live. There was a standing ovation when he came onto stage. Also during the end of intermission I had the extreme honor of meeting and thanking Maestro John Williams himself in person. He is exactly how you think he would be. He is very kind and humble. Meeting him was a dream come true to me, and true bucketlist thing for me. He is one of my biggest idols and just thanking him was amazing.

Since 2021, whomever slated his Scores at the Hollywood Bowl, fuq'd up.
I was there in 2017, 2018, and 2021.
The 2021 concert was disappointimg, and the audience were dosappointed, too.
So where is the beginning where John comes out and speaks or begins the concert?? Just saying .
That never happened. 😅 They just came out and started playing.
