- I hate to say it, but here we are again with yet another figure from this line that I am not a fan of. The blueprint of this figure was perfect, but the execution was absolutely terrible. This SH Figuarts Chainsaw Man Makima Action Figure fails, and so many departments other than the articulation category. I was hoping that the more I played with it, the more I was going to enjoy it, but sadly it’s the complete opposite. I tried to find joy in this action figure, but I found myself putting it in the package with absolutely no plan on pulling it back out for anything other than a potential future display. It will look good on yourself, but that’s about it. I only recommend getting this if you are already invested in this line. Otherwise I would say do yourself a favor and just stick with the Figma whenever it finally does release. There's some art from the manga, on the back of volume 10 I believe, and...yeah I think she's just ment to be short. There are times when she looks a bit taller, but every time shes in like an important page or promo image, shes always kinda small, and this figure seems to match that look. Personally it does bother me, but that's just my opinion.
Makima is 5'6, Denji is 5'8, 5'11 after transforming so checks out

I got mine not long ago too. It's bizarre that Tamashii Nation is giving her single jointed elbows and knees, just like a Figma. And that's weird that Figma Makima actually has double jointed elbows. And it's not because she has thin arms (even Yuzuriha from Hell's Paradise has double jointed elbows despite being small).
The torso is using that same tech as live action SHF Zoro with that half split articulation, which doesn't work well at all. They should just choose one, either fully seamless front and back or just have cuts for articulation. And being a SHF, well, one option is clearly better.
The worst part is the hip joints because they use the old ball joint hips over the 2.0 style ones. When I first tested the leg split, mine also pop out on her left leg which left me speechless.
Edit: Just did a comparison with Yuzuriha so I edited my comment. Makima is 5'6" while Yuzuriha is 5'3". Clearly the 2 series has different scaling in the SHF line as Yuzuriha looks huge compared to her.
they never try to scale between lines obviously, especially because if heights aren't stated in the actual media they might as well not be canon

Yeah she’s definitely shorter than she needs to be, power is 5’7”while makima is 5’6”, she would have to be a touch taller for it to be right.
Makima is actually 5,6 as well so they still did bad

makima is 5'6 and denji is 6'0 so its sorta accrete but i think because her body is so small it makes her look shorter

When I got my first SHF makima I was so down to look at the coat because it reminded me of shin kamen riders coat but now that I mess with it I did see that same problem of her being very small almost similar to the SHY SHF which sorta does bother me but I've sorta got use to it but other wise it's a great figure to have

Clean Makeup brush as a duster
You can use a clean makeup brush, which you can buy at a dollar store. You can also use an air canister to blow air on your figures to remove dust from your SHF. Although it's more costly than a makeup brush.

I was gonna get this figure but decided to look for a review to see how tall she was. I thought the same thing, the proportions are off. I have Chainsaw man and it's also too small. I also Just saw the anime heroes chain saw man and is much taller. I hope they make a Makima. (its also a 3rd of the price)

Though in certain episodes or at least from what I remember she looked pretty similar in height to Denji even though she isn't, I feel like the proportions are fine I don't think they could made it any better except maybe idk

I think it’s the lower leg and feet that makes her look tiny. IMO she looks good enough besides the rest of the gang.

it's not unpopular but i don't think frieren is popular enough with youtubers like these for them to buy shf of the characters especially due to the price. only person i've seen is rockchala because he gets every shf for his catalogue, but considering the style of the show compared to csm, jjk, or dragon ball, let's be real, would someone like anthony's customs or eighty sixed reviews be interested in that

Ngl, im not feeling this figure. The faces are not doing it for me either. Something about this figure just feels uncanny, especially compared to other csm figure from the line. Also kinda funny that when it comes to the torso shf pulled the figma and figma pulled the marvel legends lol. I hope you review the figma makima aswell so i can decide which one to get.

I think they didn’t put as much effort on her as they did on the others since they knew the fans were gonna get her anyway, I’m not a fan of the series, so I’m just talking of what I seen in the media of why they like the character

Not to be the bearer of bad news but a lot of ppl dislike this figure.
Sh figuarts have been disappointing me a lot recently, they’ve been over engineering their figures without testing if the joints actually work or need better tolerances, such a bummer
I'm glad I cancelled my PO.. Bandai fumbled the bag on this one. This is the second review I've seen now that had the hips pop out and other articulation issues.
if the figma is as tall as their power then we might end up with two out of scale versions of makima
She's totally average, doesn't do anything special, but being Makima elevates it a fair bit. Having loads of fun photographing it. In terms of top of 2024... yeah, unlikely she'll crack Top 10. She just does the job well enough for me.
Honesty she’s a pretty bland figure but that’s to be expected so I don’t mind but bc of that I think she’s a little overpriced.

I'm pretty sure that's Manga accurate. Idk about Anime though. I think the Figma is accurate to the Anime which has different proportions

@@MikamiUchiha It's not supposed to be proportionate. It's not your eyes. Makima in the manga has abnormally long thighs and shorter legs. Look up some manga panels of her. That's just how Fujimoto draws her.

The SHF hype is a lil overblown. I think they’re a solid line, but there’s so much quantity that it ends up falling apart in quality. This should’ve been a much better figure than what it was. It’s just DECENT. Hopefully the Figma is better.
