    Ingredients:
    1 medium onion
    1 medium bitter melon or ampalaya
    2 raw eggs
    1 medium tomato, chopped
    1 medium onion, chopped
    4 cloves of garlic
    1/2 tsp of salt

    I love the bitterness of the ampalaya that is why I buy the Indian bitter melon which is more bitter than the regular ones in the market. For those enjoy the bitterness just wash it twice and don't do too much.

      Great job! Ang iba mas gusto ang medyo basa. Ang iba naman ay gusto ang medyo luto at katamtamang dry and moist. Ang iba, mas gustong maraming itlog. Ang iba naman mas gustong parehas ang dami ng itlog at ampalaya para mabalot ng itlog ang amplaya.
      Sa IIocano, mas mapait mas masarap. Mas hahaluin para siguradong maikalat at matakpan ang lahat na ginayat na ampalaya. Kaya ka nga nagluluto ng ampalaya para malasahan ang pait. Hindi ba ninyo alam na ang mga katas nito ay nagbibigay ng sustansiya at pangbalance ng sugar sa katawan?
      Kung walang pait ang ampalaya karamihan ay mga ampalayang Tagalog ang tawag namin sa probinsiya. Hindi na namin ito itinatanim. Sa pinakbet at mga ganitong luto, ang hanap mo ay ang "bitter taste" sa dulo ng dila at maganda sa kalusugan.
      Kanya-kanyang tiknik yan, para din sa pagluluto ng pinapaitan na galing sa laman loob ng mga alagang hayup. Kung hindi mapait, hindi na pinapaitan.

    di na po kelangan lamasin sa asin at pigain ang ampalaya kc po mawawala ang sustansya, ang teknik po sa tamang pagluluto para hindi mapait ay hugasan at punasan pagtpos hugasan, pag napunasan na dun na hiwain, pagkahiwa ska igisa at huwag lalagyan ng tubig kya nga pinunasan eh bgo hiwain, ang tubig kc ang nagbibigay ng sobrang pait sa ampalaya kpag niluto mo ng nilagyan ng tubig.. try nyo lang kc special recipe ko yan paborito ng anak ko walang kapait pait pag ako nagluto..

      Mariwin Dreje punasan? iba pa rin hugasan after hiwain? At para maiwasan ang pait ng ampalaya ay iwasan laging haluin ng haluin ang ampalaya kapag nasa kawali na.Isang beses o dalawang beses lng pede haluin para di mapait...

      Mariwin Dreje try ko din nga yang way mo pgluto.. ginagawa ko kasi e ibinababad ko lng sa tubig at asin after gayatin..tapos huhugasan di ko rin pinipiga..khit lagyan ko konteng tubig ok lang wala pait kahit half cook lang.

      agree ako sayo ate ako pag nagluluto ng ampalaya hinuhugasan ko muna bago hiwaan taz hindi ko na hinuhugasan pa... pag nagisa ko na tatakpan ko lng kasi nag momoist nman kasi pag nilagyan pa ng tubig papait sya.... at isa pa hindi ko hinahalo ng halo... 😊

      Mariwin Dreje agree. isa pang technique para hindi maging mapait iwasan ma overcook ung amapalaya.. pumapait kasi un.. if gusto.mo talaga na hindi mapait ung amapalaya iwasan bumili ng amapalayang may pagka tongkad ang kulay sobrang makulubot or mga native na amapalaya.. natural na mapait kasi ang native

      observation ko nman pag di fresh yung ampalaya cgurado mapait yan.. at ganun din pag over cook pumapait. Ok lng nman kahit haluin..di nmn pumapait pg ngluluto ako..ok lng dn kht lagyan konti tubig after mlagyan ng itlog..di rn pumapait. basta ibabad lng muna sa tubig na may asin pgkagayat..tpos 1bses hugas then ok na. kht half cook try nyo di mapait

    Kung ganyan gagamitin na kawali di na kailangan ng maraming oil...ibabad ang hiniwang ampalaya sa asin walang tubig 15 minutes hugasan para mawala ang alat at pait..igisa ang bawang sibiyas at kamatis timplahan ng patis at kalahating chicken cubes ihalo ang ampalaya at paminta.ilagay ang binating itlog wag masyadong haluin..try nyo masarap at walang pait😊

    hi, i seed that in my country (belgium) in my green-garden , but i did not know how to make it
    i tied to bake but it was disgusting lol, so bitter
    i m high blood so i cannot eat salty, so if i put salt on it before cooking wait a hour and wash it , to get rid of salt
    then cook, i guest we can add some pepper, i think same really to much oil, i gonna use farm butter , better taste than the oil we get here , and add more tomatos, it s tomatos time in my garden :)

      in our region ilocandia, our te hnique to lessen the bitter taste is to prevent anpalaya from getti tossed around. we just place the sliced ampalaya on top oc the sautéed tomatoes and covefing it not tkssin or mixig it around until it becomes soft, that's the time we add the eggs. we preserved the vitamins by not squizzing the juice out and we only use salt to season it.

      If you prefer it not being too bitter, then you can do that or you can slice it very thinly, you do not want the nutrients to be washed do you?
