I found your video recently -- absolutely love your book! I am planning on making a book for my mother (my first time doing one as well). Just curious about the size of your book...covers, spine, pages.

Hi Kathy, I sent the book to my friend a long time ago but I'm pretty sure the measurements were 8x8 covers with a 1 1/2 inch wide spine. The pages were probably 7 1/2 x 7 1/2. Hope that helps & have fun making yours, Cyn :)

where did you get the belly band and the pad of recipe with the velcore

Hi Erin. I made this book by scratch with chip board I purchased at Michaels craft store & then covered it with card stock & designer paper I had in my stash. The recipe card flip book with Velcro closure was made by me with card stock & recipe cards I got from my mom. I also made my belly band out of card stock & ran it through my cuttlebug machine in an embossing folder. Then I inked the embossing a little to bring out the design. I hope this helped & happy crafting :)
