This actually makes the most sense the best MMA promotion should have the best MMA journalist. Egos just won’t allow it. Ariel by far has the best interviews and coverage of the sport outside the octagon.
This was truly the best era of The MMA Hour. Thank you for your contributions. Glad that you have exciting new things ahead. I can’t wait to hear what it is.

Your coverage of MMA and time on the MMA Hour is what inspired me to become a journalist and to start my own podcast. I wish you the best of luck on this next chapter!
The amount of entertainment you have given us in the past years is unbeleivable. You're the best at whatever you put your head in so i'm sure this new chapter will be a banger just like all your previous chapters. At the end of the day, that book will be amazing.
Ariel, I hope you see this man. I have enjoyed your show so much. It was a mainstay in my life and it helped me through some difficult times, I even bought CZcams premium for this! Hope you continue to provide MMA/WWE coverage on way or the other. If not, thank you for everything

You clda been doing your own channel for years and had millions of subscribers by now and making good money and owning your own business and getting sponsorships and ad revenue. Ariel, I can just tell by the way you danced around saying the mma is over or anything similar (and aren't visibly broken up about it) that you got the rights to the show and are going independent or something to this effect. It's the logical next step in Heelwani saga: Independent Heelwani.
It’s all meant to be my dude, I knew it was happening from the way you, reacted and how you said things regarding leaving mma hour in past conversations. I will see you in your next venture 🎉
@@backwoodbarry It has nothing to do with Dana though, that's UFC's parent company and he has good connections with them. That's why he's done some interviews for WWE before.

Curious to see what could possibly be good enough to break up the MMA Hour crew. To be honest from an outsider perspective, losing the the MMA Hour family seems like set back. I hope it’s worth it and good luck.
I’m thinking either a FanDuel deal like Pat McAfee once had, or something new backed by Turki Alalshikh. Those are the two big sources of outlier money in the sports world today. I think it would take outlier money to turn down generous offers to stay where you’re already comfortable & established. Congrats though man; whatever kind of step up it is - you deserve it! I’m sure the crew will come back together as time allows.
Been listening and following you for now 15 yrs plus. I love you ariel helwani. Whatever you decide to do i greatly will miss the podcast. Wish health wealth prosperity you and all loved one's. 4 ariel and whomever reads this. I love you all
Excited for you, sir. I've been following you since the early days. I hope all the crew will still have jobs after this. Good luck with your new venture!!
Thank you Ariel for relaying the MMA world to "normal" people. I hope you will continue in this, and sure you will do great in whatever you do. Never missed an episode of the Ringer mma show and the MMA hour since the new start. Good luck, shalom, and looking forward to the next chapter
Blows my mind why Ariel just doesnt do his own thing. He has all the fighter connects. We dont tune in for the studio, we tune in for the interviews which are 95% conducted via zoom or skype or whatever it is. So he should do his own thing, with little to no overhead and make a killing. But his ego gets in the way and for some reason he feels that signing with a big company validates something when it clearly doesnt
Was listening regularly since before the blueberries interview. Like DJ, I agree that the MMA Beat was the best show, loved the Ariel/Luke/Chuck/Mike combo but also loved a bit of Wag's (man he's probably furious with the 'Merit Based' state of the UFC these days! LOL Poor Wag's) Anyways all the best for your continued development and looking forward to following along.
Shocking and kinda sad, but good for you for always moving on with change to enjoy what you do and basically keep evolving. Thanks for all your mma coverage, etc.

How come the most awarded MMA journalist hasn't been signed for many years so far? I don't get it. The MMA Hour became (once again) a reference in terms of coverage, guests, and content, but Vox Media just waited the end of A. Helwani's contract to make an offer.....he could refuse? Sure, we don't know the details: maybe they offered him something great he just refused. But that's not my point. It's just like with team sports: you re-sign your superstars at least a year (if not two) before the end of their contract, not in the previous weeks because.
