I found you dont need to add any fat to the mould in order to get the isomalt out, I had no trouble getting it out without adding anything to the mould. I just love using this its so versatile. And going back on Onbra's comment with isomalt losing their shine after 1 - 2 days, I have had my isomalt for over a week and its still shiny.

Have you ever poured Isomalt directly on cake?

Is it possible to have butterflies that are slightly bent, so the wings are not flat with the body?

Dorien Reed Not with the isomalt as it will dry hard and be very fragile to work with. However with the New Crystal Lace Signture blend you can make your butterflies stand up by using less glycerine in your recipe. Hello! isomalt figures lose their shine after 1 or 2 days :(
    What should I do?

You cannot really prevent this from happening as that is the nature of the product. You need to keep them in an airtight container to keep them from going cloudy. You can use a little bit of cooking oil to regain the shine. Its advised to make the decorations as close to the function/ occasion as possible as they will look at their best.
