Fixing Broken Fans In The E30 | First Drive In The Snow!

- Hey Everyone,
Today, winter is in full swing and the E30 is not having it. It decided to break in a way that actually hinders how enjoyable the car is to drive in the cold. What luck! We lost the defrost, AC, and heater fan, so in other words we have quite a bit of diagnosing to do! We also set aside some time to improve the car's interior and enjoy it in the snow a bit.

Honestly i agree with everything except not informative. Ive learned a few repairs from these videos but most of all the parts and upgrades he uses. Ive gotten a lot of ideas for my tt build

Hey bro. Really enjoying your e30 series. A suggestion for the direction of the car. Rather than going the turbo route (which everyone does), consider a lumpy cam (286), hartge copy headers and an individual throttle body kit from race head engineering (RHD). I think it fits your channel better and your philosophies on the car. It’s infinitely cooler than a turbo setup and you’ll have to weld the coolant ports on the 885 head if you did decide to turbo. The e30 isn’t about big numbers. It’s about feel and emotion. The ITB’s suit this car like no other. Race head also sell a lightweight flywheel for the m20.
Also consider doing a purple tag steering rack swap from an e46. Standard they’re 4 turns lock to lock which is horrible. The biggest change to the car you can do is get it down to 3 turns. Best mod out there for these. Here in Australia we use a company called lpsr that supply kits but we have our steering wheel on the other side to you. There should be kits in America tho. Good luck. That E30 looks so dangerous in that snow. I would trade you my B7 Audi Avant S-Line MT, for the E30 in order to save your life. I promise the A4 will be as much or more fun than the E30, I promise... LOL.... The A4 is a blast to drive, but I am a BMW guy through and through (I own 2 535's (E60 and F10) as well as an E39 540i 6MT, I want to add a 335 or an E30 to my collection.

Haha I completely agree that the audis are better in the snow! My S4 and TT have way more grip than the e30. That being said the e30 is also pretty impressive compared to how I thought would do. It's super controllable and fun while sliding. Sounds like you have some awesome cars! Thank you for the support by the way!

My 1990 E30 just had the same problem . In my case , it seems to be my switch coming apart after 33 years of good service.

Amazing, content and videos. I own two E30’s. Both are sedans and both are 4 cylinder engines. They are very rewarding cars to drive and easy to work on. Just a quick tips: all faded trim can be restored with SEM trim black. Check your fuel tank for rust and change fuel filter. Did you swap the steering rack? E46, Z3, E36 racks all can be swapped. Z3 (2.7 turns desirable) but e46 zhp rack feels great too (3.0, part number ending in 712). E36 and E46 M3 racks are Not desirable ( variable and dead on center feeing)

why do you have so much weight on your keys? ignition switch will go out from gravity. o well love the videos. i have been watching a lot of E30 videos and i think i want one to go along with my E46 drift car!. i also have a 01 integra all original just has hail damage. and my 19 titan pro4x much rather drive an E30
