A little about me:
Hi, I’m Lindsay, a stay at home mom and diamond painting fanatic. I'm married to my best friend Gary and we have two darling boys James (4) and Remy (2). So relatable ! My 3 year old grandson and his mom live with me, he is autistic, and we are also going through a not eating phase right now. We also have ABA or Respite folks here for therapy 6 days a week, it’s a lot, my heart goes out to you, we can do this!
I love RoseMudd! I've used it before she switched names. I use the original. The 2.0 was very stringy for me. I rarely get it on the canvas. If I do, I use my tweezers to smear it around and then cover with a drill.
Aw that little james sounds so cute! My Oakley won’t sleep either. He’s such a night owl and has serious FOMO. So sometimes he’s my little night buddy too. No judgement here! I got the Munimade tray from you in! I love it! I’ve been wanting a Munimade for a long time now. Thanks so much for the Washi Tape and stickers, they’re adorable. I’m sorry about the shipping, it’s crazy how expensive it is! I did a giveaway and holy cow the shipping was way more than I thought it would be. Inflation is a beast! Also, the “my mommy makes videos for work” 😂😂😂 I admit my mind went to the gutter first too. I did teach before I had kids and my students said some strange things. You get used to it and don’t judge. Although one kid was telling me about his dad’s girlfriend (I had heard stories from him about her a few times) and I asked him oh did “amber” like that? And he’s like “Oh, not her, the other girlfriend” I was like oh… um okay 😂
Hope things mellow out for you soon I understand stress has been crazy lately also I pick paintings that remind me of things mostly fantasy I got Love Bard because it reminds me off a character in the CRAVE book series
I admire you handling your little ones. It sounds so difficult. I don’t know if it helps but I had a nephew that was the pickiest eater in the world. He lived on Cheetos for awhile. He grew up to be healthy and something of a foodie! They aren’t little forever, just remember that. Slthough there were times when I thought they’d be little forever, lol
Take heavy card stock and cut rectangles and put one in each baggie. I do it that way.
Same with my kid. He was extremely picky and did not eat much. Everybody said “just make him eat” it’s not easy. We gave him pediasure to supplement. He 14 now he’s a lot better with eating but still picky. Picky eaters are stubborn and rather starve than eat things they don’t want.
Hi Lindsay. I send all good energy for your grandma. And you. And your people. ❤😊
I am a caregiver to my son with severe autism (adult) and my sis in law with Down Syndrome and dementia. My SIL with dementia is getting hard to feed. She forgets to eat even when it's in front of her. She will refuse to eat so many things! Before dementia she ate pretty well and a varied diet. Now...hardly anything. She does, however, LOVE McDonalds cheeseburger and fries. Her doctor said, just get the calories into her....whatever she will eat. Food issues are a real problem if they won't eat. So sorry you are going through this. Prayers for your grandparents too. I was lucky enough to have my grandparents until I was 43. They were the world to me. I also couldn't help when they had problems because of my special needs son. I felt bad too, but they really understood.
You make me remember how stressful parenting young kids is, especially when you are low on sleep. I’m so sorry! You are doing a great job! 🍝
Parenting is legit the hardest job ever!!!!! 💤
I mostly diamond paint fantasy or magical creatures paintings. Occasionally, I'll pick up a landscape or a really cute animal. 🧀 I couldn't find a mac and cheese emoji lol
Sending good vibes for your grandma. My husbands grand parents (that I'm very close with myself) has been in and out of hospitals over the winter and we feel like there's not much time left - so I really relate to how stressful it is.
I’m not a fan of kitting up either! But like kitting down even less. Lol
I love abstract pieces, Richard Lorenz, Peggy Collins stained glass, are my favorites, oh and her mosaic animals. I usually kit up before I start unless they're in baggies already, then I transfer as I go. Aw, Mama, stop calling yourself a bad Mom, you're doing fantastic, not every house is spotless, they're supposed to be lived in. Loved the little guy joining you for Mac and cheese, ultimate comfort food for all! 🥟🍩🍝🍜🧀🍳
I have kids that aren’t special needs and I feel like cancelling everything sometimes. If that helped your mental health that day or week or month, there is no need to feel guilty! As moms, we worry about everyone else and don’t end up taking care of ourselves. So if that’s what needed to happen, then that’s what needed to happen.
My almost 3 year old is like a grazer when it comes to eating. We have to have something sitting out because she doesn’t want to eat at normal times 😅 these kids 🤦🏼♀️
I’m sorry everything has been so stressful, I hope being able to talk about it here helped some! Here is some food for James 🍔🌭🌮🌯🥙🍕
You’re a great mom! Don’t let anyone tell you differently!
I don’t drink animal milk at all. It’s easy to avoid actually. I tried almond, oat, rice, soy, and several others. My favorites are almond and oat. Try them! One or more my appeal to your family. And bonus is the much longer shelf life. Check the protein content of the different ones if that helps make decisions.
Putty. Yes Rose original sells faster because it does seem to work easier for a lot of people. That’s what I prefer from her and Randa’s. 🥛
You are a great mum… raising kids is hard…I find meals with kids a massive stress and that’s just with their likes and dislikes let alone intolerances and texture etc etc… sending hugs, strength and patience… this is why we diamond paint right lol hope it all becomes clear for u and u have a better week next week!
My oldest son on the spectrum would eat anything.... I mean anything. Dry cocoa powder, mayo out of the jar, splenda packets.... My youngest on the spectrum would have just as soon starved as eat anything. Hopefully your kiddo eventually picks a few foods that will work for him. Getting my son involved in making the food helped a bit. He would at least take a bite to try it sometimes. You can do this.
I was also a preemie, 3 months early. I was the same when l was about 3-5 years old. I had problems with constipation though. My mom consultated with the doctor: set up the table for her with grown ups plates, tell her she's not getting any dinner, and so on. Nothing worked. 🤷♂️ It was a phase l had l think.
You are just precious! I taught Sunday School years ago and we made Mother’s Day cards and I told the children to cut out something in the magazine their mom would like. One of my students cut out a bottle of Jack Daniel’s and a bathtub…yikes! 😮
I don't like kitting up either. I feel like it takes to long i just want to start diamond painting. I am sorry things have been stressful for you. I am glad you are still able to find time to make videos with everything you have going on in your life right now.
My grandson never wants to eat or try things. Drives me crazy. 🤪🍕
Eating three times a day is hard enough with one picky person. Good luck!! 🧀
I use Elizabeth Ward trays because I find baggies a pain in the neck to open
You sound like a fantastic Mom!!! 🥛
I like fantasy, horror, animals, I'm honestly just all over the place when it comes to what I like to diamond paint. I hate kitting up and kitting down, but I love diamond painting 😅😂
🍟🥪🍕I can absolutely relate to the food piece. My boy is on the Spectrum as well. Making a mess with food is actually a step in the right direction. Makes it more fun for them and they're more likely to actually try something like that (randomly liking their fingers or something). Just try not to make a big deal about it. Put it in front of him and let him go. It can be tough but maybe that's what he needs. Sometimes the more of a deal that gets made the more they'll dig in their heels and not try anything.
My boy right now lives off French Fries, peanut butter sandwiches and snacks. It drives me nuts but things are making their way into his mouth
I love doing animals, Disney ones. I don't like landscaping ones at all
🩷⛩️ Hoping this week brings good news for your family! Sending all positive vibes your way! 🙏🏼
Spaghetti squash was a no go for my husband too🤪
OMG, I'm giggling at the "we have mac 'n cheese?" 🧀 He sounds so sweet and mischievous! I'm sorry he's stressing you out with the not eating. You'd think their little tummies would hurt if they weren't eating enough and they'd want to make it feel better! But I have a lot of food sensitivities myself so I get it, in a way. If I can't find something that sounds good to eat, I just won't. >< My son is that way too. I have to cajole him to make sure he eats lunch at school, and he's 15! Hopefully this is just a season for you guys and James will expand his palette for food so it'll be easier to feed everyone.
🧀🥪🍽
Yes all I do when I'm on Facebook is watch funny things and tag my husband in them all lol
🍟🧀

🍕🧀🍔🙅♂️
Are they listed anywhere else besides FB? I'm not really on there ever. Raising kids is HARD! don't beat yourself up too much
i have a son thats autistic and he only eats certian things and my daughter is also kinda picky on food so i have always cooked something differnt for mt son and my daughter and a differnt meal for the rest of the family
Can someone help me, I can’t find her destash in her Facebook group!!
Helppp
👩🍳
🍔 my boyfriend is a picky eater but I can always get him to eat a cheeseburger
Absolutely not! And if anyone calls you a horrible parent because of anything you said in this video then they are obviously not parents or just have some perfect kids or something 😂😂, but I swear my kids are the same exact way! Wanna stay up all night but sleep in and I let them sleep in because like you said they need sleep lol AND the food thing! SAME thing happens to me! Don’t wanna eat all day but the time we say bedtime their magically hungry but you can’t say no because there actually wanting to eat you know haha ahh the monstrous cycle of being a parent because no doubt I did the same to my parents 😂
I don't have kids, but I enjoy your stories. It sounds like you have unwavering patience....and I SO do not lol I can relate to the rabbit hole/algorithm stuff though. A few weeks ago I was reading Dave Grohl's book and I started looking up some videos about Kurt Cobain and other various "grunge" things, so now my feed is filled with grunge videos (which isn't a bad thing, but different). 🌶📸 *I wanted a mac & cheese emoji, but instead i went with spicy videos hahahaha
🍟🌭🫔🍨🍦
I get you on the eating part an autistic person is so picky for food I live that life with my boyfriend so that I don’t get upset with him I just let him eat whatever he wants to eat
I never comment twice on a video but my son literally told his 3rd grade teacher that I sell dope because my son overheard me tease my husband that was dopey and I should just sell him for a nickel. For context I called my husband dopey and not my son. Lol
You don't sound okay 😢 (kinda drunk but likely it's the stress 😢)
I understand the it is just too difficult with the kids to physically help, but maybe do cards and pictures for the grands. Go to an inexpensive store like dollar tree and pick up some cards ( thinking of you etc.) even have the kids put stickers on them. Enclose a picture of the kids doing different things (not posed). Send them 2 to 3 times a week. They will love it and look tforward to getting them. Make them yourself. Not fancy just simple. Sounds like you are a patient and wonderful mom. Listening to your explanation I wonder if your son is out of rhythm with the day and night cycles. There is such a thing where the individual lives in the dark and sleeps in the day. In other words eats, plays and does all the things you would do during the day, but at night. During the day they don’t want to do anything. Even become agitated because all that the people are trying to get them to do is for night to their bodies and minds, but they know that’s not how it’s suppose to be. Anyway just a thought. Hang in there. Easy to say, hard to keep plugging along. Prays for you all. Peace and love abide with you 💕
