About Sheikh Deedat:
Born in the Surat district of India in 1918, Ahmed Hoosen Deedat had no recollection of his father untill 1926. His father a tailor by profession had emigrated to South Africa shortly after the birth of Ahmed Deedat.
• With no formal education and fighting off the extreme pangs of poverty, he went to South Africa in 1927 to be with his father. His farewell to his mother in India in 1927 was the last time he saw her alive for she passed away a few months later.
• In a foreign land, a boy of nine with no formal schooling nor any command of the English language he began preparing for the role he was to play decades later without realizing it.
• Applying himself with diligence to his studies, the little boy not only was able to overcome the language barrier but excelled in school. His avid passion for reading helped him gain promotions until he completed standard 6. Lack of finance interrupted his schooling and at the early age of about 16 he took on the first of many jobs in retailing.
• The most significant of these was in 1936 where he worked at a Muslim owned store near a Christian seminary on the Natal South Coast. The incessant insults of the trainee missionaries hurled against Islam during their brief visits to the store infused a stubborn flame of desire within the young man to counteract their false propaganda.
• As fate would have it, Ahmad Deedat discovered by pure chance a book entitled Izharal-Haq, meaning the Truth revealed. This book recorded the techniques and enormous success of the efforts of Muslims in India in turning the tables against Christian missionary harassment during the British subjugation and rule of India. In particular the idea of holding debates had a profound effect on Ahmed Deedat.
• Armed with this new found zeal, Ahmed Deedat purchased his first Bible and began holding debates and discussions with the trainee missionaries. When they beat a hasty retreat in the face of his incisive counter arguments, he personally called on their teachers and even priests in the surrounding areas to discuss and debate topical issues of the day.
• These successes spurred Ahmed Deedat in the direction of Da’wah. Not even his marriage, birth of Children and a 3 year sohourn to Pakistan after its independence dampened his enthusiasm or dulled his desire to defend Islam .
• With missionary zeal to project the truth and the pure clinical beauty of Islam, Ahmed Deedat immersed hiself into a host of activities over the next three decades. He conducted classes on Bible studies and gave numerous lectures. He established the As-Salaam, an institute to train propagators of Islam. He, together with his family, almost single-handedly erected the buildings including the masjid which is still a landmark today.
• He was a founder member of the Islamic Propagation Centre International (IPCI) and became its President. He has published over 20 books and distributed milions of copies free of charge. He has delivered thousand of lectures all over the world and successfully engaged Christian Evangelists in public debates. Several thousand people have come into the fold of Islam as a result of these efforts.
• In a fitting tribute to this monumental achievement, he was awarded the King Faisal International award in 1986, a prestigious recognition of enormous value in the world of Islam.

+Uba Uba Peace be unto him, he who follows the right path. Jesus(pbuh) himself said that he had a God, so how can you claim jesus is God. Allah(God) in the Qur'an says the following: "But the Messiah (Jesus) said: 'O Children of Israel! Worship God, my Lord and your Lord.' Verily, whosoever sets up partners in worship with God, then God has forbidden Paradise for him, and the Fire will be his abode. And for the wrong-doers there are no helpers." Holy Qur'an, chapter 5 verse 72. Notice Jesus says "MY LORD and your Lord...", this is proof that Jesus himself had a God whom he worshipped. Basically Jesus was not God, but he was a prophet sent by God. The Bible says the same, so why do you worship the prophet Jesus(pbuh) ?

abdessamad belallam The Arabic Qu'ran Muslims are now reading as standard was was only compiled in the 1920's in Egypt and was then revised twice with verses taken out and added until 1936. Before that the 'Word of Allah' was Gustav Fluegel's variant Qu'ran from 1834.
Qu'ranic textual critics do not generally think it is a good compilation because it contradicts the earliest Qu'ranic manuscripts there are, like the Sana'a manuscripts (the earliest Qu'ranic manuscripts in existence - approx. 50-100 years after Muhammad's death), showing the compilation in Egypt in the 1920's and 1930's as inaccurate.
Historian and Qu'ranic researcher *Gabriel S Reynolds, 2010,* The Qu'ran in Its Historical Context:
_"The (twice altered 1936) Cairo text is often at odds with manuscript evidence"_

We can compare between the “modern Uthman Quran” with the copies of the ancient Qurans in the Library of Tashkent in Uzbekistan, and another in the Topkapi Museum in Istanbul, Turkey.
The main problem is, that the documents are written in the Kufic Script which, according to Qur'an scholars Martin Lings and Yasin Hamid Safadi, did NOT appear until the late eighth century.
_This means that both the Samarkand and Topkapi Codices could NOT have been written earlier than 150 years after the 'Uthmanic Recension was [supposedly] compiled - [at the earliest during the late 700's or early 800's since both are written in the Kufic script (Gilchrist 1989:144-147)]._

Ubai Ibn Ka’b had a compilation of the Quran that differed from the modern Zaid (Zaid Ibn Thabit) version Muslims have in their hands.
Among the differences between Zaid & Ubai’s Qurans, was the fact that Ubai’s Quran had TWO ADDITIONAL surahs, *al-Hafd* and *al-Khal'.*
This problem is acknowledged by Umar in the Hadith Sahih Bukhari, Vol. VI, #527....“Narrated Ibn Abbas: ‘Umar said “Ubai was the best of us in the recitation (of the Quran) *yet we leave some of what he recites.* ” Ubai says, “I have taken it from the mouth of Allah’s Apostle and will not leave for anything whatever.” But Allah said: *“None of Our Revelations do We abrogate or cause to be forgotten but We substitute something better or similar.”* (2:106)’”
(***How are these abrogated verses to be substituted AFTER Muhammad's death? )
*So Umar is trying to explain away the rejection of the Surahs in Ubai’s codex of the Quran by referring to these surahs as ABROGATED (Cancelled).
VERY BIG problem for the “modern” Quran here!!
By referring to Ubai’s two surahs as abrogated,....Umar admits they were once PART OF THE QURAN!!!!
These TWO Surahs are not “lost” or have been “caused to be forgotten”...Ubai’s codex of the Quran was the standard version used in Syria before Uthman ordered all manuscripts that did not agree WITH the one compiled by Zaid to be burned.
(Many still know Ubai’s surahs today!)
*These surahs have NOT been lost, they have been REJECTED by Muslim leaders!!*
According to Surah 3:3-4, these leaders have brought (and are still bringing) a heavy doom on themselves and their FOLLOWERS!! The two surahs were abrogated by Zaid, not on any other authority but his OWN (again Sahih Bukhari, Vol. VI, #527).
Remember that the Quran promises that abrogated or forgotten things are replaced by Allah with something similar or better (Surah 2:106). Zaid compiled the modern Quran, *How could Allah replace verses with something similar or better after Muhammad has passed away?*

However,...Both the Holy Bible and the extra-biblical evidence show that the Virgin Mary was from the tribe of Judah, from the line of David.
She had NO biological connection to the tribe of Aaron, (i.e. Levite from the lineage of Aaron!!!)
Plus..Mother Mary had NO brothers or sisters!
A True God wouldn't make this HUGE mistake and confuse the two separate personalities who lived 14 centuries apart, and think these TWO people is the very same person...NEVER!
*As it stands then, all the evidence conclusively shows that the Quran contains a gross mistake since it erroneously teaches that the mother of Christ was the biological sister and contemporary of Aaron the high priest, making Moses Jesus’ uncle!*
You cannot be sure that any of the Quran(s) in existence are purely the words of God, since mistakes like this proves it came from Muhammad's misunderstanding of the Bible, which invalidates everything else written in the Quran.

Today I went to Chapters, a local chain of bookstores. There I saw a shelf full of books. They were all different Bibles. Then I checked the Islamic isle. There were 2 different translations but they both said Quran... Not Muhammad's Quran (astaghfirulla), not some Sheikh's Quran (astaghfirulla)...just Quran. That says it all.

Faisal Howaish God was prophesied to come as a man from the prophecies of the Old Testament, (the Torah). If you read the Bible it is very clear about this. It describes the nature of Jesus as fully man, yet His divine essence was God. This is why the word "Trinity" was used to define our ONE but INFINITE God. Jesus was the spirit of God in human form, but not the whole person of God the Father. Jesus is a separate person that was born from the virgin Mary with the spirit of God. And this spirit of God enabled Jesus to do many miracles. Heal the sick, resurrect the dead, change water to wine, feed thousands of people with only a little food etc.
I am happy that you respect Christianity and have Christian friends, as some Muslims will not take Christians or Jews as friends due to commandments from the Quran, such as Sura 5:51 and others. But Jesus at this moment is not just a man, He is back in Heaven where He always was from before He was born. And Jesus will come back to Earth and destroy all the evil as prophesied in Revelations. To understand the beliefs of your Christian friends, you should read the injeel of Jesus, the New Testament. Then pray to God almighty to show you the correct path. Ask God to show you. the indonesian bible or "alkitab" in indonesia language also has been tampered by indonesian church. in the verse where god prohibited christian to consume pig (babi in indonesia), the indonesian church add the word "hutan" after "babi", so it became "babi hutan" which mean wild pig, therefore the translation of the verse in english now is god prohibited to consume wild pig. the indonesian church said christian can eat pork from domestic pig but its forbidden to eat wild pig from the jungle. proof that the bible can easily be corrupted by man to suit their agenda and liken

So, it was Jesus Himself who declared that "all foods" are good to eat. They are just bodily food. As for a particular food is healthy or not, that's a different story. If you cook beef that contain parasits improperly, it may make you sick as well, but it does not make you unclean before God.

1. This is food law given thousands of years before Jesus was born.
2. This is also a food law given thousands of years before Jesus was born.
3. Mat 5:17-18 says:17 ¶ "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.
18 "For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.
Now, Jesus came to fullfill the law, and so because the law is fulfilled, some of the laws are not a necessity anymore: particulary the food law and the ritual law.
Jesus emphasized the importance of the *true righteousness*, righteousness from the heart, not just those that can be seen by other human beings.
Here's an example: Matthew 5:27-28
27 ¶ "You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’
28 "But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
This is a moral law, and Jesus makes the law even stricter. That is the standard of the Holy God. Because of this law, if you really think that you follow Jesus, you CANNOT have more than 1 wife, because when you already have a wife, and you look at another woman and want her, you already commited adultery, and so how can you marry her? If you marry her, in a polygamy, than you will live in adultery every day in your life.
As you can see above, Jesus is placing Himself as the law giver (God), by saying "You have heard that it was said.... But I say to you..." as if Jesus is giving a new law.
Actually, the Jews accused Jesus of breaking many laws: laws about washing hands before eating, laws about not doing any works on Sabbath days, but once again Jesus is emphasizing the importance of the true righteousness.
4. I know the context, but the spirit of the commandment is the same: it's not the food that matters, it's what you do with your mouth that matters. Food is just physical matter and will remain physical, but what you say to hurt others, that's what will last forever.
In the book of Act, Act 10:9-16, God once again confirms that foods do not matter:
9 ¶ The next day, as they went on their journey and drew near the city, Peter went up on the housetop to pray, about the sixth hour.
10 Then he became very hungry and wanted to eat; but while they made ready, he fell into a trance
11 and saw heaven opened and an object like a great sheet bound at the four corners, descending to him and let down to the earth.
12 In it were all kinds of four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, creeping things, and birds of the air.
13 And a voice came to him, "Rise, Peter; kill and eat."
14 But Peter said, "Not so, Lord! For I have never eaten anything common or unclean."
15 And a voice spoke to him again the second time, "What God has cleansed you must not call common."
16 This was done three times. And the object was taken up into heaven again.
5. Well, sure, I think Jesus never ate pork his whole life, although it is not mentioned anywhere in the Bible. Neigher have Peter eaten any pork, but as seen in the verses in the book of Act above, Peter was told to just eat anything.
6. Good, it is great to hear that you follow Jesus. But, if you really love Jesus and follow Him, you have to believe that He died for your sins on the cross, as Jesus said Himself:
Matthew 20:28 "just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."
Mark 10:45 "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and *to give His life a ransom for many*."
Do you believe that Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead in three days?
7. Jesus did not mention anything about hell. Even if we break some of the laws, we will still enter the Kingdom of Heaven, only the position could be lower. It is not a requirement to enter His Kingdom. You have to believe in Jesus to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. As mentioned above, eating pork or eating only clean foods does not really matter.

The main difference between "Version" and "Translation" is: Translations is not involved in erasing or adding verses, the total amount of verse of the primary source documents and the resulting production must be the same. While "Version" interferes the total amount of verse of the resulting production, and resulting in different amount of verses between the primary source documents and the resulting productions.
But if you notice in the debate, Ahmed was not originally attacking only the different versions but also different translations. WhenPastor Stanley called out to Ahmed Deedat on the different versions of the Quran, Ahmed then retracts his second original attack on the Bible and says, 'the Quran has different translations, I am talking about versions.' There was double minded thinking by Ahmed Deedat as well on that day. Regarding different versions, it's really not that complicated not is it worth dismissing the entire 66 Books of the Old and New Testament that both Catholics and Protestants agree on, first of all 66 books are the same in both Bibles, no difference or variation whatsoever, same message, so there is no evidence the Bible's message was changed or is invalid for today. Secondly, Catholics have included 7 books between the Old and New Testament which all Protestants agree are historically authentic books, but not prophetic revelation from God like the rest of the Bible, whereas Catholics regard it as equal to the rest of Scripture. That's the only real difference, there are not multiple Bibles, just one including historical books while keeping the same books and another just putting the Old and New Testament together. It would be like how some Muslim groups regard the Hadith as equal to the Quran while other groups say the Quran is the first authority as the Word of Allah. Hope this makes sense, Peace

Yes and it's very important to interpret the Bible in context. Many Muslims I have spoken with and had conversations with love to use this verse as supposed evidence the Torah was corrupted. The ironic thing is that by believing this, one has to trust that whoever is writing the actual Bible is speaking truth, meaning the right words of Allah. The Quran says that every Word from Him is eternal and none can change it-does this rule ONLY apply to the Quran brother or to the Scriptures revealed before the Quran as well? There are 2 possibilities with this verse-it could mean as some Muslims are suggesting that people are trying to create 'false Scriptures' or 'fake Scriptures' through their pen, in this scenario, the Bible is correcting them and laying out the true Law or True Word of Allah and must be treated then as authoritative. The other possibility (or context) if we read not just one verse but the surrounding verses, we get a deeper explanation. It lists some moral failures of the Israelites in his day and accuses the Scribes of not subscribing to the Book of God. A Scribe was not so much a copyist of the Bible, so much as a teacher of it to the people, we can better understand that Jeremiah is rebuking them for lying regarding the 'teaching of the Law' and to it's actual 'meaning.' Let me ask you, do you accept Jeremiah as a true prophet of God (Nabi Armiyah)? if so, do you accept the writing of this book as the authentic words from Allah or from men?

Only specifically Jeremiah 8:8 contains the truth, as for other verses, we must check those with the original words of the almighty creator, the Qur-an to verify each individual verse, or statement of the Holy bibles; If a holy bibles' verse is synonymous with the Qur-an, then that particular verse of the holy bibles is most likely a translated words of the almighty creator, otherwise, the opposite is true; if a particular verse, or statement of the holy bibles is not synonymous with the Qur-an, then that particular verse is a fabrication of falsely lying hands of men.
So what I hear you saying is that if a verse in the Holy Bible agrees with a verse in the Quran it is proof that it is the true and authentic Word of Allah, unchanged by the 'People of the Book,' but if it disagrees with the Quran, it must have been changed or corrupted by the Jews and the Christians, is that correct? In this case, do you believe that that Allah in a sense did not intervene to protect His Holy Word from corruption with the Tawrut, Zabur, and Injil, but decided to step in and intervene with the Quran? I'm just trying to make sure I know your position correctly.

If you a good command of Arabic, you don't need translation anymore. Translation is only for those who don't know Arabic. I love Ahmed Deedat. Even thought he has been dead for a decade, but his legacy is still reaching out to none believers.
The debate that I really wanted to see was brother Deedat and the Pope. The Pope spoke of having a Christian and Muslim dialogue, but when brother Deedat rose to the challenge, the Pope declined. The Pope knew that he wasn't dealing with just any man. He witnessed brother Deedat demoralizing all the other so-called top Christian scholars in debates and wanted no part of the humiliation the others suffered. Mr Deedat was and is a true scholar and seeker of truth. Not only did Mr Deedat have the entire Quran memorized, he also had the entire Bible memorized and could tell immediately if someone was misquoting the Bible. How many of these so-called top Christian scholars can do that? Not one that I have seen, not even the Pope.
