LYRICS:
Tell it to me
Spit it out
If you push me
Iâll just get up
Tell it to me
Keep it coming
Iâm on the ropes
But I got something
That you canât see
Keep it coming
Thereâs always another corner
Makes me wonder
How much longer is it gonna be before I get where Iâm going
Get what I need?
You gotta give to get, you gotta be game to lose
Couple other
Rounds ahead
Getting closer
I wonât slow down
Just a little longer
Think about it
Whatâs the next move
And the next one?
When is enough enough and when the going gets tough where can you go?
Thereâs always another corner
Makes me wonder
How much longer is it gonna be before I get where Iâm going
Get what I need?
You gotta give to get, you gotta be game to lose
How much faster can somebody run if youâre chasing a lover
And the noonday sun is beating down on ya
Making it hard to breathe
Just 50 more times and I should be good! Absolutely obsessed!!!
same hahah
The violin makes this song spectacular!
Fiddle
@@lesmay9871 It's all about the 'inter-play' with these three artists. Respect and giving each other room to shine.
What a great song and trio! Genius folk music!
Harmonies on fleek
Samuel Jonas yes they are... Im in loveđđđ
This song is so tuff!!
Simple, smooth, warm, badass.
It's like, how much more better could this be? and the answer is none. None more better.
Robert W it goes to 11, you might even say
Just a touch more glam. Just a touch more edge. But equal parts blues and folk and harmony...I'll drink this...and I'll have another please.
"Got to be game to lose" has to be the most macho verse ever uttered by a female folk singer. It stirs my blood every time I hear it.
MakeMusicGreatAgain!
Great work ladies.
Your music together, and with your individual projects, has brought so much beauty and enjoyment into my life. I grew up listening to âcoolâ music, you introduced me to beautiful music.
Thank you.
baychevy, you are right they are so underrated! Who needs pop music when you have this perfection?
Well said.
Wonderful show in Katonah, NY at Caramoor. These ladies are soulful, amazingly talented musicians. Such a joyful sound!
THREE VERY TALENTED LADIES ..... that just clearly have so much more than most any on any stage ! Kudos, Thanks too. jj
LOVE THIS SONG I already got it memorized!
WOW!!! It's hard to put into words how absolutely phenomenal you three are. I can hardly wait to see you when you come to Houston!!
These extremely talented girls blend very well and are well worth seeing in concert.
You ladies should be crashing the airwaves any time now. My radio could use a little female competition for the Lumineers, Avetts, Mumford and such.
Such effin amazingness!! Thank you ladies!!!
All levels, a fantastic song.
Exquisite.
Going to see them play when they come to Australia next month. Love, love, love this song. This song sounds very reminiscent of Nickel Creek.
Just saw you beautiful ladies on the Last Call. My entire family was watching and here you got standing ovations. I think yâall are now my favorite music group. Thank you for sharing your gift.
*Magnifique, it's splendid* old-time-music-modern-way-of-life
Yup the greatest band on earth rn
Already seen it - Came here just to like it. SO good.
I can't remember the last time I was this excited to hear an album. It should be waiting in the mailbox. It might be better than Christmas.
â€Thank youâ€
Actual Perfection!
this is incredible
Great! Keep them coming Ladies.
Wonderful!
Just keep up with the great work girls
Awesome.
I pre-ordered the CD, can't wait till it gets to my door! Great job!
đ¶đđAwesome Song!

Yeah
Girl Power trio? Call them what you will but they are a class act.
Excellent as usual ladies
This song is amazing and this video is #aesthetic. Obsessed with this whole album. â€ïž
Brigid Iverson, I know theyâre amazing and underrated! This song is perfection.
Great stuff!
Beauty incarnate.
I well know all of your musical backgrounds, seriously looking forward to seeing/hearing you at Greenbelt 2018, expecting some very different & continuously evolving chemistry.

ahhhhhhh i just L O V E
What a beautiful woman Sarah Jarosz is!
Here from NPR, great stuff. Keep it up.
Please forgive those who choose to invoke useless information. Love the music! See you at the 9:30 Club!
that place is still open, impressive. lived in dc in the early 80's. saw a lot of shows there.
Gary Kruger I was listening to WHFS back in the 80s, an English guy plugged his show at the âHalf Passed Nine Clubâ.đ
Better than a lot of formula music out there. Even in Indie music. Iâd like to see more painting over the lines in the phrasing...like wind sweeping a mess in the woods. Less factory precision. But then again this is the first time Iâve come across you gals. Maybe thatâs what you intended. Hailing from Minnesota. Bob Dylan land.
Sarah with Taylor Swift and Alejandro Manzano (Boyce Avenue).
An album would break The Internet.
Actually... now that one thinks about it... I'm with Her and Boyce Avenue breaks a Grammy... Taylor, Smaylor... her loss... would be nice, absolute world-class musician, never - Truly - tested by the likes of... well, The Watkins, Thile and I'm with Her, Punch, etc - yeah, she did the "Red" Grammy or whatever, was fun and Should have been produced into a single but not their shining moment... anyways, I'm with Her and Boyce, massive audience, incredible challenge for all involved.
That's reallyyyy good đźđź
Some "Punch Brothers vibes" here btw
My gosh...
Ummm....Where have I heard this before? I think it was up in Canada maybe...Something about wailin I believe. ;-)
Yeah, I love the Wailin Jennys too. But this is SO different in choice of music. I yearn for a little more fire in the group up north. They all share the same space in harmonies and delivery. We would be less in our listening without either group. And Sara Watkins has been around since she was a little girl - so they got to this musical space "honestly".
Wailin Jenny's can't compete in the instrumental category of this band. Love the harmonies but these gals can pick!
I'll bite the hand that feeds me and say these women don't need an "Offical Video".
Seems well made, quite artistic, but they are artists in their own right, quite capable of getting in front of some people and just playing and singing. That would be enough for me, anyway.
i was kinda thinking the same thing. and who knows? they might have enjoyed "playing dress up" with the pro hair & makeup, but i have to believe there is a reason they don't walk around looking like that every day. As they say, just let the music speak for itself.
Is that Aofie Odonovan?
Maitiu Jarrett yep
Jan Kroese thanks! I knew it..
I really like this song a lot but the instrumental section sounds vaguely familiar. I can't quite place it though. Anybody else think it sounds like something?
Sounds like Nickel Creek 'cause that's Sarah Watson on fiddle
See you at the Neptune in April
Does anyone know how to pronounce Aoife?đ€
it's sounds like E fa...
Yes. Just pronounce it backwards. ;>
I'm surprised Colbert(?) didn't have her name in the list when he asked Saoirse (rhymes with inertia) Ronan how the Irish names were pronounced. I was disappointed.
I lache one like because i'm a big good person
Somewhere between Chris Thile and Damien Rice.
Nice, but ain't that fine is still my favorite
M di messi
Just a hint of Laurie Anderson ...not crazy about it
While I liked the performances, it felt like the song just meandered around. I spent the entirety of the song waiting for that build you did at the very end. And it could have progressed to become even bigger than that but instead it was already over.
Audio Insurgency that's probably the feeling they were trying to evoke. Just beating around the bush, never really getting started until it's over.
Like a relationship that is falling apart
I do not like:
A) this.
B) that this intrudes every vid I watch on YT.
C) A & B.
âCâ. Itâs âCâ đłđ€žđ»ââïž
Love the girls but this ain't working for me. Sorry.
I didn't grasp the song on first listening either, but from the fourth time I listened to it it just got ever more amazing.
The composition/arrangement sure is quite hard stuff Â- strangely empty, metre shifts, rootless-seventh-chord vocal harmonies...
I understand them wanting to advance from their bluegrass/folk roots but this a train wreck for me. Build Me Up From Bones.
Im going to shoot straight here. This is three supremely talented individual artists trying to defibrilate a song born with it's shoelaces tied together. Woeful composition and the lack of confidence in the source material is bleeding into the performances.
sounds a bit like a Chris Thiele cast off!
James Cole no, it's supposed to sound like a relationship that is falling apart. Haven't you ever heard of text painting??
I agree with BrownCat; this song is supposed to sound like the lyrics. Although what you really need to do is hear it performed on NPR's Tiny Desk Concert for "I'm With Her;" I prefer that performance even more than this one.
James Cole Dude put down the thesaurus and tell me what major band your in? That's what I thought, another over zelous Moronial who knows everything..
Love you guys and your talents, but why did you choose that name? I hate to inject politics here but it must be said that "I'm with her" is a toxic phrase. For me and many others, it evokes Hillary Clinton, who is a completely radioactive presence in the states. I don't mean to be mean but I can't stand your band name. It sounds like you chose it in support of her, not women as a whole, which would've been okay if she hadn't used it to campaign with.
They were using "I'm With Her" in 2014, long before Hillary Clinton stared to use it.
I think it means the same as "we're with one another"?!
grow up
The stupid is strong with this one.
Kit M The name is older the political campaign
