- For this video I took Prague suburban train operated by a class 814.2 RegioNova Diesel Multiple Unit. These units were rebuilt on basis of a class 810 railbuses.

Cute little train. I used to take it when it used to run as the last train from Blansko to Brno. It feels more like a bus than a train especially with the funky seating.
That's right, the ride is similar to taking a bus. It's probably because these units are based on Class 810 railbuses, which had some components from buses.
@@PeteBrandyWhen I sent a Czech friend your video he told me exactly the same thing and I hadn't even made the connection. The same way that I hadn't realised that the Vario trams are modernised T3 trams. :o

A nice short ride. Some decent scenery especially along the river. I hope when I am in Czechia for almost three weeks I can take some short local train rides. I understand there is a day ticket that will allow me to ride almost any train in a specific area, I will take advantage of that. Thanks for the video
Thanks so much for watching! Yes, some form of all-day tickets is definitely worth it .. but it's good to find out which tickets are valid in the given regions, or you can also buy an all-day ticket directly for ČD trains.

Tohle je moc pěkná trať, několikrát jsem už po ní taky jel.
To je pravda, chtěl jsem ji projet v létě, ale to byla myslím výluka.. a pak to nějaký čas jezdilo ze Zahradního města.

I just do not know what is so interesting in Cercany, i just know that i like this name and i'd like to visit this village some day.
Čerčany is a station where the corridor Prague - České Budějovice - Linz crosses with the Posázavský pacifik (The Sázava Pacific) railway line. In Čerčany, there is a transfer to trains in the direction of Zruč nad Sázavou (The upper Pacific railway), which run through a popular tourist location around the Sázava river, which is popular in the summer season with boaters and campers. Čerčany station is also origin / terminus station of trains of The lower Sázava Pacific railway line towards Prague (line S8 via Vrané nad Vltavou), which is also a popular tourist location. I also have videos here of both parts of the Sázava Pacific railway line.

A very good video.
I took this train (not on this route), it was instead of a Regioshark Unit. With a 1st class Ticket is this train not optimal.
I remembered me, the first train Regiopanter (my favorite from Ceske drahy) and the second was this train very hot, because of no air-conditioning.
And the seats were very heard.

So the station was built in the early 19 hundreds........it would be when it was part of the Austro-Hungarian empire...(if i have my history correct, USA here)....good construction......thanks for the train ride......

Yes, the station originally opened in 1871 as Franz Josef Station, after Franz Joseph I of Austria, then the original building was replaced by Art Nouveau station building built between 1901 and 1909. The Czech Republic (Bohemia) was part of Austro-Hungarian Empire until 1918 :-)

Maybe because you travel at peak times and on busy days :-D I'm traveling from Praha hl.n. almost daily and sometimes it's possible to find moments when the station is less busy. For my videos, I always try to find less busy times and also trains that tend to be less busy. Sometimes it's enough to wait in the station hall for the times when the departure/arrival wave ends and part of the building may be empty for a few minutes .. but you need to wait for maybe an hour and catch the right moment.

Fair to say, It doesn't make a lot of sense use this train to Dobříš (a town in the Prague metropolitan area), buses are much faster and often.
Yes, that's probably why most trains now terminate in Čisovice.
1h28m to go only 34 miles is very slow. Does this train have much end to end traffic or is most ridership between intermediate points?
It is slow but there are 21 stops, even though some of them are on request, it still takes a lot of time. It connects villages to Prague, some of them do not have any other connection to the capital.
Yes, as Miroslav wrote, the connection is slow, but that's also because of the number of stops. For passengers between Prague and more distant stops, it's better to choose a bus (e.g. on the route Dobříš - Prague, most passengers use the bus, which is faster). This train is used the most in the first part of the route Prague - Vrané nad Vltavou, then there were more passengers between intermediate points.
Nebylo lepší kor při cestě na delší vzdálenost (aspoň časově) si sednout do 014 a být tak v o mnoho větším klidu díky absenci motoru a nekovových špalíků ?
Bylo, ale toto byl záměr, protože motor přehlušil hlasy ostatních cestujících 😀
Dobry den, vy jste se ve videu zminil o Posazavskem pacifiku, tuto drahu jsem sam jel, ale je to uz dost let zpatky, nevite kdy tato linka funguje?
Zdravím, Posázavský pacifik jezdí jako linka S8 (Praha hl.n. - Vrané - Čerčany) v 1 - 2 hodinových intervalech. Ve všední dny většinou jezdí RegioNovy a víkendy na vybraných spojích jezdí 754 nebo 749 a patrové vozy Bdmteeo (např. Os 9057)
A o víkendech a svátcích od začátku dubna do konce září jezdí dva páry retro vlaků společnosti KŽC pod názvem "posazavským motoráček". Na tyto vlaky platí běžné jízdné PID a staví na všech zastávkách. Tak třikrát do roka také na pacifik zavítá parni vlak.

Škoda těch jízdních vlastností - interiér byl výrazný upgrade oproti předchůdci, ale hlučnost, brždění, atd.. to hodně ubírá z komfortu.
Bohužel je to tak, že jízdní vlastnosti odpovídají původnímu konstrukčnímu řešení vozů 810
@@PeteBrandy No já bych naopak řekl, že jsou ještě horší. Hodně jsem se najezdil s 810 a zdálo se mi to tišší a i trochu svižnější. Pak se začala občas objevovat zelená Kasandra a z toho jsem měl dobrý pocit, nicméně Regionova je z hlediska jízdních vlastností zklamání. Ne z hlediska pohodlí, tam je to za mne ok.
Nepovažuju se za šotokindera, vzhledem k tomu, že šotokinder ani nezná význam toho slova, ale myslím si, že jsou 814 prostě hezčí a lepší než 847. Předpokládám, že většina lidí kteří tenhle koment čtou, mě za to budou chtít ukamenovat, ale sory, je to jenom můj názor.
Já souhlasím, mám stejný názor, už jen kvůli uspořádání interiéru.
V tom se mi nejvíc líbí 844, protože v něm jsou aj ty "introvert místečka", kde jsou sedačky v leteckým stylu. Ale každopádně 814 je dobrá jednotka.@@stepan.s99
Interiér 814 mi přijde v pohodě a otvíratelná okna jsou velké plus.. ale jízdní vlastnosti to bohužel kazí.. Jinak tě plně chápu, já to mám zas s vozy A149, mám vždycky radost když jede místo plánované jedničky (Aee, ARmpee apod) vůz A149 😀

@MarwiX_CZ Mě klimatizace také vadí, raději si otevřu okno.. ikdyž letní cesta FlixTrainem bez klimy byla opravdu náročná, tam bylo kolem 40 stupnu 😅
