Oh d-d-d-dear. Today marks 17 years since John Fiedler died. You will always be Piglet, John. Thank you for changing our childhoods for the better. RIP.
For the part of Piglet in Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day, Walt Disney had heard John Fiedler's voice on television and selected him to voice the character. Although Fiedler's natural speaking voice was higher than most men's, he still had to raise it considerably to achieve the character's high pitch.
Last year, I introduced my immediate family to this movie, who all enjoyed it very well. During moments when the film was paused for other reasons, some of us were discussing amongst ourselves, and some there were referring to John Fiedler's character as Piglet.
I remember when I first saw this movie at my English class in middle school and I thought that juror sounded like John Fiedler, which I was the only one in the class to point out and everyone was impressed. After I looked up the cast for the movie, I found out that was John Fiedler, the very same actor who voiced Piglet in Winnie the Pooh.
John was one of those character actors who's face you recognize ..yet don't recall the name. Under rated and under used...yet I hear he had a very busy professional life. He got type casted early on and I feel he had so much potential in other roles. Sort of and American version of Donald Pleasant....I'm sure he could have pulled off being sinister and a bit creepy...if need be. 12 Angry Men,,,Raisin in the Sun spot lighted his talent. Short in stature but tall in stage presence. Met him once at a signing in San Diego...nice fellow...had the bluest eyes.....rare in the red head gene. Wished I could have talked longer..always wondered why nobody did an interview or character profile. So much lost cinema moments lost in popular Hollywood pecking order. The old saying..."you never miss the water until the well runs dry". RIP Mr. Fiedler...you are missed.
I saw this in my Reading class in High School. Though a different version of it. Perhaps a remake. Afterwards we read the play. I have a fondness for 12 Angry Men. If I could find it I'd watch it again.
I remember watching this in high school and immediately thought of Piglet when I heard that voice.
ShyGuy83 did anyone else make note of that?
Oh d-d-d-dear. This is to hard of a court case for a very small animal.
I wonder how many little piglets can handle court cases?
Lmao
I threw off Juror 3’s Groove….

He continued bringing our childhoods joy all the way until the day he died. Rest in peace king

I was only three years old when Fiedler passed away.
My favorite juror is #2, John Fiedler. That's because Juror #2 was Piglet in "Winnie the Pooh"!

This is one of my favorite movies of all time. I always like juror #2 because he was played by John Fiedler.
One of my favorites.Great acting by 12 men in a small room / excellent writing also👍👍
The guy next to Fiedler in the beginning of the scene sounded a lot like Eeyore, so it felt exactly like a scene from a Pooh story.

JOHN FIEDLER IS AN EXCELLENT ACTOR

He Sounds Like Piglet Like Sterling Holloway Sounds Like Pooh Thumbs Up For The Video!
his natural voice
he did the voice of Winnie the Pooh in real life

This guy was in two of my top 3 films. Here and J Noble Daggett, the formidable lawyer of Mattie who we finally see towards the end of True Grit!
It’s like if Piglet was slightly angrier
I finally figured it out. Took 40 years, but here it is: John Fiedler is the original Radar O'Reilly.
Or Gary Burghoff, anyway.
Wikipedia says he was born in 1925. I don't get how he could be barely over 30 at this point when he looks 60.
Some people prefer to be bald.
@@theoneandonlymem432 I'm not referring to his baldness
@@Slashtap Okay.
This is when He Later Voiced Piglet in the Winnie the Pooh until his Death in 2005 from Cancer at 80 Years Old.
R.I.P. piglet. :(...well the original piglet at least
The 80 year old had cancer, and he’s in heaven with all the other 11 angry men. Those guys are in a better place now.
He's in the Bob Newhart Show too.
Love all the piglet comments. Once I caught it I was like hold up…piglet 😂
0:00 Piglet speaking
Almost 60 years in the business. 55 actually, according to Wiki!🏆🍻
Fiedler looked about 60 years old here in someone else’s opinion, but he sounded much younger (even younger than 29).
Piglet is on the jurors
Time 0:31-1:03 32 seconds
Silver .. the wonderdog.
Jim Cummings woulda topped it!
Piglet!
The kid was guilty.
Have you even watched the movie?
@@peterandreyev
I did. The kid knifed his old man.
@@TheBatugan77 Why do you think that?
Yay! I love Piglet! :)
Me too.
